Does what it should

We have a 2007 Keystone Outback Travel Trailer that we absolutely love and use a lot. However, things break and wear out over time and cabinet hardware in our RV is no exception, especially the cabinet full of all the snacks that gets opened and closed several hundred times a day to accommodate my "Starving Children".On our last week long camping trip one of our cabinets that uses these bulldog catch latches wore out in the middle of the vacation, so no matter what we did the cabinet would just pop back open, to the point we almost thought the camper was haunted :-). It took me a while to actually find these on amazon because I had no idea what they were actually called, but I am glad I finally found them. These were an exact replacement to the hardware in our camper. It comes with a set of two in the package which is nice since I had another cabinet that was almost ready for a new latch as well. This also comes with the screws needed to mount the hardware even though I did not need it for my swap out as I just used the old screws. the screws are pretty tiny so make sure you are just using a screwdriver to install them so you don't stripe out your existing screw holes or new pilot holes. These were a simple 5 minute replacement fix, but would probably take 10 - 15 minutes for a new installation for any stubborn door or cabinet you want to keep shut.These were definitely what we needed to fix our "haunted" cabinet door. :-)

These catches replaced faulty ones in my RV. There're absolutely perfect for the job, but they arrived loose in the box, with the packaging torn open. That's the reason for a four star instead of a five.

Exact replacement. Works great. Had to replace the old ones (original to the vehicle - 2006) as the plastic had gotten dry and brittle and some broke. New ones work great.

First I had issues with the screw head stripping while trying to install them, then the cabinet side fell apart while trying to figure out the screws. I would avoid this product!

They fit tight and keep the cabinet doors closed while in transport.

They just don't hold together very well. Need to be very gentle installing. I decided to switch to magnetic type latches with 30-40 pounds of pull. Screws will snap if using a impact driver ( my bad ) .
