Good price for a thinline (updated)
TLDR: A solid option if you want a semi-hollow telecaster. Would but again if looking for another affordable semi hollow. Food for thought: my squire bullet telecaster is finished better, has better pickups, and cleaner fretwork and it they can be had for $130 w/ free shipping from MF.The fit and finish is ok for a guitar that cost under$140. Happy enough with the paint and feel of fret board. Tuners seem pretty good although I haven't played it much due to the b string. For some reason that I haven't figured out there is a weird metallic ringing from the b string. Isn't a fret or loose screw. The pickups are kinda muddy especially on the bass side. Some fret buzz but not awful. Nut is no cut deep enough. However I like the look and feel of it so much I'm going to return this one and order another and hope for a better b string. Solid four star purchase if the next one doesn't have the buzz. Will update when it comes.Sept 19 Update: Ordered a second one of these because of metallic buzz from the bridge on the b string. The second one i received no longer had this issue so i was able to play more and get a better feel for it. First off, the color of the binding between the two i received varied as well as the wood the neck was made out of. Neither was any worse than the other it just seems weird for two guitars with the same build date. Pickups on #2 were less muddy than the first, still not great but serviceable. Nut is cut much better on this one but still not low enough. Had some finish issues and drops of blue touch up paint that was a different color. Managed to remove it without issue. Bridge isn't ground, easy enough fix if you can solder. Also includes a pick guard to fit a humbucker, although the color is maroon which doesn't make sense from a color scheme perspective but is a nice bonus.Overall much happier the second time around.

Prettier than a basket of speckled puppies.
First of all, I don't know how Firefly can deliver such a beautiful well made guitar at this price point but I hope they keep it up. This thing is prettier than a basket of speckled puppies. This is my third Firefly and I love them all. The craftsmanship and finish on this tele style guitar is outstanding. The neck has a glossy finish which gives it a high end look and feel. The headstock has a pleasing shape and the fret ends are smooth with no sharp ends. The tuners feel great and keep her in tune. The color is beautiful and looks nice next to my home made retro speaker cabinet. I suspect the binding is painted on but it doesn't matter because it looks great. I found the pickups to be a bit bright over powered for me but that's just my preference, they produce a convincing tele tone. Now for the negative, i took away a star because after unboxing I played it for 10 minutes and the neck pickup quit on me. I haven't disassembled it yet but I suspect a bad solder joint or a switch problem. Either way it doesn't matter because it was always my intention to modify this guitar anyway with new pickups and electronics. I'm sure they would have no problem exchanging it if that's what I wanted. I just felt it was important to pass on. For $136 shipped I am not going to complain. I may actually buy another one in a different color because they are such an incredible value.Update: I loosened the strings and removed the pickguard and resoldered the connections from the neck pickup and it's working again.

Firefly FFTH Semi-Hollow body Guitar (Blue Color)
Hello Everyone.First of all, let’s get this out of the way. When someone purchases a guitar (whether it’s used, refurbished, displayed model, with minor imperfection, or a new one) at some point you’re going to set the action, replace/modify the knobs/switches/bridge/strings/pickups/toners/fret/fret board/neck/etc. to your preference. Same goes for the cable and picks it comes with. It’s no difference when you buy your vehicle. Sooner or later you’re going to change/add/replace/modify items on your vehicle to your liking. And that’s fine. With that said, please don’t count these components as a negative criticism towards these guitars.Let’s just focus on the guitar itself. With minor tuning and neck adjustments, these guitars are ready to play right out of the box. As you know, minor tuning and neck adjustments are common with any guitar you purchase. The finish, quality, and construction of these guitars are awesome. The headstock is eye-catching. The neck is straight. The frets don’t have dents/divots and are smooth (no sharp edges). The fret board is fine. The body is beautiful. The joints/seems are connected to satisfactory. The hardware (pickup selector or switch/output or input jack/volume & tone knobs or controls/bridge/pickups/pick guard/tuners/electronics/screws/nuts/strap buttons/fret or inlay markers/fret nut) are nice, functional, and tight. There may be some small blemishes or cloudy finishes here and there, fret board might have some kind of dye on it, but nothing really significant that would cause you NOT to play the guitar immediately. The added guitar cable and guitar picks are cool.I’ve made NO modifications or changed any components on this guitar and had no major issue with feedback noise, guitar getting out of tune from hours of play, components getting loose or not working, breaking strings, electrical issues, etc. Again, everyone has their option on what they consider feedback, guitar out of tune, components getting loose or not working, breaking strings, electrical issues, etc. And that’s okay. It also varies on the equipment (amps/stacks/pedals/cables/etc.) you use and how you play these guitars. In conclusion, these guitars are attractive, feel great, look fabulous, sound terrific, entice you to play them and definitely fun to play.I’m sold and I’m a HUGE fan of the Firefly Guitars! I wished I could have purchased the earlier models when they first came out. If I had the money, I would buy all the Firefly FF338 and FFTH models. For only $139.00 and with no shipping fees, these guitars are an excellent investment! I’ll say it again. Not only are these guitars gorgeous, they’re a pleasure to play.I hope Firefly will continue to produce new models or have older models available because I’m excited in purchasing them in the future.Thank you Firefly Guitar company/staff for producing this magnificent product!
