It works fine. Does what it does. Good value.
Used it for RV. Seems to work fine. Accurate at 5gal fill and 60gal fresh water fill. Probably off by like 0.5 gal, but that's over 60 gal, so I'm okay with that. I saw other reviews about its sturdiness. While plastic may not be the strongest material, I don't see how this would break from using it like you're supposed to. Make sure you install it where you're not applying moment on the connection. An example is installing it where the gauge is sticking out at an angle or perpendicular to the faucet. Of course that's going to break eventually. Mine didn't leak. If it did, I guess you could fix that by lowering your water pressure or put a whole bunch of dielectric grease in the battery compartment to reduce corrosion. Also, if it leaks, check the rubber o-ring. Usually it's improper o-ring size/position. Tightening too much will also cause the o-ring (not just this gauge) to distort and no long act as a sealer. Just because it tightens, doesn't mean you should keep tightening it. I ran it at 60 running psi and 85 static psi. It held up just fine.

Great little unit that is accurate..........
Purchased prior to taking a RV trip to Alaska for 4 months. I wanted to have accurate readings while filling my freshwater tank because I found the dummy lights in most RV's are not accurate at all. It worked perfectly for a while but then it actually came apart on the female connection end. Well, it's out of warranty but I'm now home and called the manufacturer through Amazon to see if they would still replace it for me. Without hesitation they said "No Problem" they would send me a new one. They indicated that I probably overtighten it on the hose which likely caused it to come apart. In any case, what GREAT service and understanding. This is a great little product and would highly recommend for all RV'ers on the road............

Functional and practical water meter
This water flow meter is quite basic, but seems to work well in 'casual' applications where high accuracy is not required. The meter is equipped with a female 3/4" hose fitting on top and a male 3/4" hose fitting on the bottom. Actually, as some have reported elsewhere, the male thread is not tapered at all and some might view this as a problem, but I think in the majority of applications for which this unit is designed, this is an appropriate thread. The meter has two displays that can read in either gallons or liters. The display reads whole numbers to three digits, plus one decimal position. Both displays read the same number of gallons/liters that have passed through the meter since it was reset. The top display can be reset by briefly pressing the left side button, while the lower display can be reset by holding in the right side button for a few seconds. This way, you can use the top display to record the amount of water that has passed through during an episode (e.g. during one watering session of a garden), after which you press the left button and reset that display, while leaving the lower display still showing its reading. The lower display can then act as an accumulated water reading that you reset less often (this is why the meter requires you to hold the button for a longer time, to prevent inadvertent resetting). I should note that this meter does NOT show flow RATE (e.g. 'gallons per hour'). It simply shows how many gallons/liters have passed through it since it was last reset, irrespective of time. If you want to know RATE, you can allow the meter to measure water over a fixed period of time, perhaps for one minute or one hour. The meter is powered by a single CR2032 wafer battery, which can be accessed by unscrewing the water-proof rear cover; it has a slot that fits the edge of a coin to unscrew it, and an O-ring seals the meter innards. The meter is intended for outdoor use, and is water resistant against rain and splashes. It appears that a small brass pinwheel is used to do the measurement, so any debris that can get stuck around the wheel could prevent accurate measurement. It is difficult to see this part clearly, so I am not certain of the details. To save battery power, the display blanks out if no water has flowed in a while. As soon as water flows again, the display turns back on automatically. I used this meter to record gallons per minute (I reset the display, ran the water for one minute, and got the 'gpm' reading from the display) in order to do a water capacity calculation for a process that would utilize the water from a spigot in my home. It worked as expected.

Super beneficial and simple!!
This is a must have exspecially if your RV tank sensors don't work. So simple and seems accurate so far. I highly recommend. Love it.

No value, only headaches
Don't be mislead by 1 star; this item has zero value. Please don't purchase this product; hopefully it will be discontinued soon. It appears to have no redeeming qualities. First, it is very cheap and flimsy plastic as noted elsewhere. I suspect most of the positive, honest reviews were written in the first week after receipt. Second, it is very inaccurate. They (seller? distributor? manufacturer?) probably tested many before finding one accurate within 10 percent to support their claim (note no guarantee of any kind). Third, there is NO real information provided such as needed water pressure range, potential volume range, connection types, max/min volumes, whether it includes a filter or is degraded by impurities or particles, etc. I design and install small irrigation systems (yard size and up) as a volunteer for a nonprofit. The one I purchased 11/2016 was very inaccurate from the start despite my being very careful with it. After babying it on a couple of small projects in which it was simply too inacurrate for any value, I tried it one more time. It broke open when I wasn't present, wrecked some other components, eroded a hillside, and wasted a lot of water. I'd say this is limited to just a cheap toy for idle curiosity, but since it takes your time and money and provides no reliable information even if it doesn't break immediately, it really has no merit whatsoever.

One gallon on the mark
Pretty accurate just out of the box. ________________________________________________________ Ok, now it's 5 years later. I have just replaced the battery (cr 2032) and it's still working. It has been measuring the make-up water going into my swimming pool all this time. It gets watered by my lawn sprinklers daily, and the sun has erased most of the bottom line where it shows liters or gallons. You can just see the top of the G in GAL. So, I'm pretty happy with it. It's going back in service now. I wish the mfr had included more info in the description here, but the manual is available on their web site. Here is some useful info from the manual: - The top counter resets every time the water starts flowing. The bottom only resets with the button. - The left button resets the top counter, and the right button resets the bottom counter. - To switch from LIT to GAL, hold the left button until a dot appears in the lower left of the display, then press the right button to switch. - The screen goes blank after 30 minutes of no water flow or button pressing. - Operating pressure 0.75 to 116 psi. - Minimum flow rate 0.52 gal/min - Operating temp 34 F to 140 F Just a suggestion, but it might be helpful to order this to go with the water meter. Solves the upside-down problem some have, and might prevent breaking the top off too. https://www.amazon.com/Tool-Daily-Protector-Extension-Adapter/dp/B08TSZF2M7

Accurate but not durable.
I've had at least a dozen of these over many years and they work well overall but don't last. They are reasonably accurate (I've tested filling a 5 gal bucket). They have all failed after a few months to a couple years and it is always failure at the input plastic fitting (cracked plastic, not failed gasket). Similar meters are available with brass fittings but cost nearly twice as much so it's not clear where these fall on the value scale.

Buen producto.
