Modern Series Door lever

We bought new modern interior doors that have very rectangular features, so we wanted a square-shaped door handle to compliment the design. After looking at several different door handles of this type, I chose Berlin for their rounded handle design and for their reported quality. Many of the square shaped handles out there have very sharp edges which don’t feel good in your hand. These handles offer a slightly rounded edge to soften that up. This is important especially if you have kids. The quality, fit, and finish is great. Each handle also includes a white plastic wall protector that comes with double sided tape adhesive. They’re unnoticeable on white walls and can probably be painted. They’re sturdy too, so kids who fling doors open won’t send the handle punching through your drywall. All in all we’re extremely happy with these door handles. Well worth the price.

Black may fit you decor, and may have an old-time 'blacksmith' look (it may also be a modern look - don't get me wrong!). You may want stainless steel for a brighter look. Otherwise it's a great handle - a 'stick' handle is easier to open than a round knob, and it has rounded edges making it comfortable on the hands. For the privacy locks -- for bedrooms and bathrooms, in the instructions they have it with the push-lock and key hole facing up. This might be slightly easier, as, if it's down, people who are not acquainted with this type of lock might have to look for it for a couple of seconds (it's under the handle -- with other handles, it's in the center of the handle) . You might have to switch around the handles to get it that way, but that is fine -- they come off easily with a little screw (and then hold on well, when tightened). Another point not to forget is that there is a little metal plate which goes inside. I'm not sure exactly what it does, but if the manufacturer included it, it must have a purpose. Look in the instructions for which way it goes.

These are best handles. They are will made and have a solid feel. I brought one so I could determine if it would work, easy to install. I appreciate the concealed screws for a modern look. Now I will buy more the rest of my doors. Update: I purchased and installed handles for all of doors. The install was simple and fast..

We replaced all of our old door knobs with these and are very pleased with the look and feel. They feel very solid. Installation was fairly easy, after a little work with a chisel to square up insets for the mechanism and strike plate. Using the old screw holes, everything lined up well. One minor complaint is that the set came with a around piece of metal for internal use. It's purpose is not explained and it is not included in the list of parts. I just ignored it. The other minor complaint is that the locking button on the privacy set does not lock with a satisfying click or detent, although it works nevertheless. I would buy these again.

Decided to go with Berlin Modisch levers as an upgrade from 20-year-old Kwikset hardware and I'm happy I did. The quality and finish are top notch. The feel of these levels says they are solidly built and well crafted. Installation is a breeze. Only knocking them down slightly because I received one lever that stuck and didn't properly return to level and another had a couple of faulty screw heads which complicated installation. Replacements were shipped out immediately and I'm happy with the resolution.

I've installed privacy, passage and dummy levers and all went well. They feel solid and look great. All came with simple white wall protector plates that stick to the drywall where the lever strikes. Hardware is provided for several alternative mountings, especially for dummy levers. They can be screwed to a single side or bolted thru the door. Instructions for those alternatives could be more complete. The square escutcheon plates snap over the solid mounting pieces to hide fasteners. The levers have a nice feel. The German quality and attention to detail is obvious.

I’m not sure if it was because the packages were already (tried) to be used. They definitely repackaged it, as the nickel screw cover plates were hard on the handles already. Very hard to get off when not on the door. A little loose but can make it work as it’s on the closet doors. I still paid full price. I purchased 3 of these for my bathroom remodel a little over a year ago & LOVE them. This style is a little different, & was definitely used. Just shows quality goes down on everything.

I spent several hours researching modern door levers to replace the out-of-date brass ones in my condo. I particularly wanted to find ones that do not have any visible screw heads which I think cheapen the look of even the most expensive levers. These levers fit the bill—the screws are hidden behind a snap-on cover plate. So, I purchased 9 sets and I am very happy with both the design and the exceptional quality of these levers. They are easy to install and you can’t beat the quality at this price level!
