This is a solid nut that gives me no concern for losing my prop. I think it's better than the original.

Don't order if you have a 5/16 threaded prop shaft!
Despite the product description, this does not fit a 5/16 threaded prop shaft. Looks more like it fits a 1/4" threaded shaft. The MinnKota packaging says it fits trolling motors that are 2 1/2" diameter.
