Probably should be cheaper but I'm happy with it
The suction cup is really good, keeps a good grip on the counter and its really easy to clean with a dishwasher.Grates cheese really well and much faster and easier than a standard grater or an elaborate add-on to a mixer. It does feel a little flimsy so don't be too rough with it, should be a bit cheaper but it is pretty good so happy enough to pay £16

Used it for nearly 3 years and love it
I bought this in February 2020 and this is me just reviewing it, Nov 2022. I've got MS and I'm on warfarin to stop my blood clotting (factor 5 Leiden), so I have to be very careful not to cut myself and I'm not very strong. I'm reviewing now because I've used this extensively for almost 3 years. No it doesn't suck and stick on your worktop, it just doesn't, I even tried a smoother surface, a plate, nope. So I use my weight on it, pressing down on the block you use to push the cheese in and I wind the handle keeping my pressure on the grater to stop it moving, yes it does move a little now and then but no big deal. Tub in front of it to catch all the cheese and it does it very quickly and easily. I take it apart to wash and that's easy enough, easy to put back together too. In the sink with a bit of water and washing up liquid, I just rub round it with a sponge, sparkling. When grating cheese some of it becomes trapped in the plastic bit where it grates and the dog waits patiently for me to open it and accidentally drop that bit of cheese on the floor, lol. I can't understand why this has bad reviews at all, I get along very well with it. I just grate enough cheese to do me a few times into my tub and put that in the fridge.

It was good while it lasted
I bought this grater because I cook a lot of stir fries and it did save some time grating vegetables. The suction feature was very useful in operating it with one hand while turning the handle with the other. I used my hand to push the vegetables down instead of the plastic attachment which gave me more control and stopped the bits from getting stuck around the round mechanism. It was not that easy to clean as bits got stuck in the mechanism and the plastic doesn’t work well in a dishwasher. It’s biggest downfall for me though was that it was not robust enough to deal with regular use grating root vegetables and broke after 2 months use. If you are just using it for soft stuff like cheese it might be fine and last ok. For me it’s back to my box grater for now unless I can find a reasonably priced electric grater/food processor.

Works well, easy and effective to use
We got this as a replacement for our old mains operated multi-function tool which had broken, and so far we've been really impressed with it - it's proving to be much easier to use than the one it replaced. There's a powerful suction cup to skip it to your work surface, and once you are set up chopping is really easy and quick. We use it a lot for making coleslaw, and it makes quick work of chopping the vegetables up. Cheese too can be grated in seconds - there's something very satisfying about seeing a whole block of cheese getting grated up in a matter of a few seconds! I've had a couple of small pieces get stick and refuse to grate, but that's also been the case with my last electrical chopping tool.Cleaning once you are done is nice and easy too, it comes apart so that it's not a difficult job at all.

Is it worth the price
It is a stated on the packet. the grated cheese gets stuck in the grater cylinder and has to be removed before you can carry on. The same goes with the slicer, but for the price, well you can get a manual food grater/slicer or "super slicer" cheaper and your not having to constantly clear the processed food to carry on. Is it worth the price, only the individual purchaser can answer that. To me no its not

Nice item , very useful
Now you don't have to risk cutting your fingers when you grate or slice. You can mandolin potatoes or carrots or swede or turnip or anything. Grate cheese in a jiffy. You just slide the hard cylinder into the welcoming slot, make sure it if fully home and it feels tight, flick the button for best pleasure. Then grind away! The best effect comes if you really push deep and keep pressing for maximum enjoyment, No need for lubricant and it slides in and out readily. Collect the resultant outcomes in a suitable receiving area and bobs your auntie. You will need to clean up when you are complete and withdrawn. You can lick most of it clean but avoid any areas where the nearby orifices may not be nice on the tongue.

Don’t buy if you’re intending to grate carrots and parsnips!
I bought this specifically to grate carrots and parsnips for a soup recipe I really like and thought this would really do a better job than a hand grater. Unfortunately, I found it really flimsy and difficult to use with carrots and parsnips. The suction was pretty useless and because it’s plastic, the handle was very difficult to turn and kept coming off. I was worried it was going to break as I had to use so much pressure turning the handle. Initially, I thought if I cut the vegetables to short lengths and compacted them with the stopper provided, this would be easier than feeding in the entire carrot/parsnip. In fact, I only managed to get about 75% of what I was grating through and the rest got stuck between the outer casing and the metal grate, which then made it difficult to unblock. I’m not sure what I will do next time I make this soup, but I certainly won’t be cutting the vegetables into short lengths.

Best purchase in a long time
I'm so pleased with this product, no more catching my fingers on a regular grater! Firstly the suction base attaches firmly to the worktop ( i didn't even realise it did this until it arrived, bonus 😀) everything fits together easily but well. So, cheese was first to try and it it was very quick and easy with fab results, then my son asked if he could try carrot. So we changed the grater to the fine attachment and it flew through the carrot like a hot knife through butter. Then to clean, everything came apart into very easy to clean pieces. I am so pleased with this product, I know I will be using it all the time, I will even be purchasing one for my daughter, who i know will love it as much as I do.
