I was pretty worried when I got them, because they were VERY misshapen and compressed. I knew they would need time to fluff up but I was 100% sure the shape was wrong and even if they did expand, they wouldn't be right. Then I read a comment saying you can run them under water to help them expand, so I figured I would try that. I ran it under the shower until it was all wet and sure enough, after a few seconds, they were perfectly expanded and shaped exactly how they are in the picture. I gently rang them out so I wouldn't damage the foam, let them dry out before hanging them, and they look perfect! I will update this one I have had a chance to test out the sound quality in my studio with them inside.So don't freak out when you open the package. They aren't defective!

At first I was disappointed because these pieces come vacuum packed, which distorts their shape. However, an email to the seller resulted in a quick response with a recommendation to steam these. We put them in the steam/freshen cycle of our clothes dryer and they popped into shape quickly. Works great. Good response from seller.

Ordered a couple bags of these (8 total). Haven't had a chance to really test if they "work", but I was able to finally get them mounted using some 3M poster strips in corners of room. For those that say they don't expand well, definitely soak them with a hose or submerge in water for a bit. I hosed them down the minute I opened the bags, wringed the water out, and let dry completely (took a 1-2 days). They came out perfect in form. Hanging was another story. Have t-pins, but wanted to try the 3M strip route. Failed on first attempt, but I think it was user error (didn't press into foam enough). They are now hanging fine now. So far so good...hoping the work as intended.

I ordered these for my “media room” in the basement but could not tell if they made a difference and I believe it is because my room is so small and full of furniture, shelves, cases, etc. that the sound is still bouncing off everything in the room. So, I suggest using these in a more open room that is not crammed full of stuff and allows sound to travel more freely.Before mounting them, I set the traps out for a couple of days in the basement and they never really fully expanded. It is still Winter time, three of four walls in my media room are concrete and my basement is kind of chilly. I say all of this because I wonder if these traps will do better in a warmer room or warmer season.

Those of you that are having trouble with them taking shape, they’re just like all other foam panels. Run water over them like a sponge and wring them out. They come out in perfect shape. Mine didn’t even look like triangles until I did that. I’ve had to do it with others before. Works like a charm. Just a heads up...

Cheap price is nice, but beware after 4 days the foam on 14 of 20 I order has not expanded entirely. Hoping a few more days will sort it out but so far these 14 don’t seem to be getting any larger. (They were spread out across the floor, not in the pictures box, plenty of space to allow for expansion.)

Received them today. They came well packed, very tight and when I opened the bag they immediately started getting to their shape. I don't think it took more than 5 minutes.I'm still not sure if they are going to work as I need them. But I will update this post later.

I absolutely enjoyed receiving these so far they look great, but I will be testing them out in a few days/weeks. So I’ll post about my results with an update.
