Presto 07030 20-Inch Cool Touch Electric Griddle

This is a great griddle. We bought this griddle to replace a smaller Presto griddle we owned. We use at home and travel with this unit. Great for pancakes, eggs, bacon, hot dogs, brats. Would buy again.

Just two days after delivery of my new griddle, I made a large batch of from-scratch pancakes. I was very pleased with the heat distribution and easy clean-up.

I've been using the Presto Liddle Griddle for about a year and love it so much that I wanted one just a little bit bigger so I ordered this one. It's everything the Liddle Griddle is and more. Just a word of caution the second time I used it I picked it up where the drip tray is, the drip tray slid out and the griddle fell onto my tile floor and the legs and handles shattered into a million pieces, thankfully it was after I washed it and there was no hot grease in the drip tray. I'd had it for two days :(.... Called to get replacement parts and with shipping it was going to be almost as much as buying a new one, so I have ordered a new one. Big ouch, but I love these griddles so much I did it. I cook breakfast, steak, chops, burgers, toast, sausage and so much more, it is easy to clean and easy to use. Just don't pick it up where the drip tray is.

It's great. We leave it on the countertop all the time so we can have pancakes anytime! I love it. It heats quickly and evenly for perfect pancakes every time. Once you're done, a quick wipedown with a drop of oil and a paper towel keeps it in perfect shape, ready to go for the next time. It's also easy and perfect for fried eggs, French toast, grilled sandwiches, etc. We don't usually cook meat on it because the grease sticks and leaves a weird residue. But it's perfect with vegetable oil. Pro tip: I bought one of those huge silicone grill covers (for an outside grill griddle) and cut it into several pieces that fit the top of this griddle. I leave one on so it doesn't get dirty with dust or flour or anything (since we leave it sitting out all the time). When it gets dirty, I throw another one on and put the dirty one in the dishwasher. It's great to keep it clean in between uses.

I had a smaller version of this for several years until I dropped it and the Bakelite parts shattered everywhere. Amazon was out of that size so I purchased this larger version. It works as well as the smaller one, but just barely fits in my cabinet. In my case the extra cooking area is not needed and the storage issue I mentioned doesn’t help. This product was made here in the fifties and sixties and the Chinese have retained all that goodness, so it’s still made with quality components. A good value.

Excellent griddle. This griddle is very non-sticky. I really like that it doesn't have any hot spots. It cooks even all over. Id highly recommend this.

I replaced a disappointing griddle/grill combination with this griddle a couple months ago. The old combo had removable plates and a bad draining system, collecting a lot of grease down under the elements and became gross and leaky, even with good maintenance. I bought this one because of its easy cleaning feature and unexposed elements. I have cooked eggs, pancakes and bacon on this griddle and they all turn out great. It heats fairly evenly and quickly. The grease from the bacon slides easily into the receptacle when pushed in with a silicon spatula so that it's nearly grease free before washing. When you're done, remove the cord, let it cool, place the whole griddle minus the catch tray into some warm soapy water and gently wash. You're finished in less than 2 minutes. The only downside is that the cord is too short, like many other countertop appliances. Why do they do that?? A foot more cord and I would say it's perfect.

Worked well, no issues. Size stored well. Does 8 medium pancakes easily. heats evenly and quickly. Nice cool edge, grease tray loose fit. Be careful. Bought for pancakes , very happy. If I wanted more at once a larger size would be great, but storage not as easy. This would stand vertically in full cupboard, but not one with upper drawer, lower cabinet. However slides in nicely on edge and fits full depth perfectly. Measure first! Also nice grilled sandwiches. Evenly browned, as were pancakes. Wipes easily. What more could be required?

I bought this item with the intention of using it for an outdoor venue to make breakfasts for people playing disc golf. I had a slight concern with the item when I received it and contacted their customer service (phone number prominent on the box) in the USA and they were SUPER helpful and set me on the right track. Yesterday, I made close to 50 Breakfasts on this. I had a canning jar with brush in one corner keeping butter melted, toasted buns in one area, pre-cooked bacon and then individually scrambled eggs and added cheese as each person ordered. The griddle was light-weight and I transported it in its own box and very easy to cleanup. I would highly recommend! One thing I would note though is that Amazon does not allow returns on this item… not sure why.
