As a pastor in training, I found this book to be a great resource. Well written it clearly defines and illustrates what spiritual formation is and should look like. This book will serve long after I finish with my classes; I will continue to use it for reflection and as a reference not only for my personal life but as care for my future congregation.

I have definitely enjoyed reading this book and every chapter has so much to offer. I especially enjoy the Bible study suggestions at the end of every chapter it really wraps everything up. It has helped me to see my spiritual life and relationship with God as something not only internal but external as well.

This book is full of insight to the spiritual life. I had to read this book for a class but it was not drudgery to read. In fact I might read it several times just to get some more out of it. Definitely worth picking up if you feel like your connection with God is falling sour.
