Constant action
I liked it more than the 1st, non stop battle & great equipment detail.I wish they would have added the USS Florida & F-35 pilot Siren into the storyline more though, they are great characters.

Just what he wanted.
My husband bought this for one of his residents. He’s a juvenile corrections officer. This particular child loves to read Tom Clancey but has no family to send him books abd he’s read all of the ones at the facility. He was very happy when my husband gave it to him.

This is the best of the three, and that's not saying much
The same spies stuff the ruined the other stories returns, but at least the setting and feel works a little better. Yet again the lack of focus on the WW3 story and the unnecessary "third faction" in the shadows headed up by a superspy story make it feel forced in it's longevity, banking on plot armor and the convenience incompetence. The introduction of Ghosts is, frankly, the only thing that saves this. The sellers are not the problem, the book is.

Good second book
This book was a good contiuation of the story but it really was not like the first book about the war between the u.s. and russia. this was more of just a special ops like book and the war that was in the first book has changed to just russia holding the fact that they could stop the oil from flowing over everyones heads. A good read but could have been better

Entertaining, but departing in style from Endwar #1 (meh)
The book is ok, yet not as good as the first one of the saga. Moreover, it is written in a very different style, which might throw some readers off.The story departs from that "Red Storm Rising" vibe that Endwar #1 provided (techno-thriller covering large-scale conventional operations, seen from the personal POV of various parties involved), adopting more of a spec-ops or even spy-chase style (more of a Ghost-Recon meets The Cardinal of the Kremlin, if you know what I mean). Albeit interesting, it wasn't quite what I was looking forward to.I bought the book to keep myself entertained during a long plane ride, and it did the trick well enough. That being said, I have re-read Endwar #1 several times, and this one I have only read once and never found myself craving to go back again.Bottom-line, if you enjoyed Endwar #1, get Red Storm Rising. You will love it. You might as well get this one to get some sense of closure, just don't expect a classic. It is not.

This isn't a Tom Clancy book
I'm a fan of Tom Clancy's books and I thought Tom Clancy wrote this book, which is why I bought it. After all...whose name is in larger letters than even the title and positioned at the top? It never occurred to me to have to research a Tom Clancy book before I bought it. However, it took me less than half a page to realize something was amiss. One of Clancy's strong points is the care he takes in flushing out a story with attention to background, back-story and details; much of which is sadly lacking here. Yes, David Michaels can spin a decent yarn and his almost non-stop action at least kept me going but Tom Clancy he isn't and I was expecting Tom Clancy.I consider this deceptive and unethical and I won't make this mistake again. Also, the ending was lame.

An action packed book. Easy to read and hard to put down.
If he caught the Snow Maiden, I would give it a five-star rating. But then there would be no need for another book.

Good Series
The individual players in the series are developed and you get to see this war through their lives. Some very intense situations to keep you interested. Author needed to explain the capabilities and shortfalls of the F-35B with external stores.
