Fantastic set of watercolour brush pens. I dont have a ton of experience with them and haven't tried other brands (outside of a few random ones I've picked up here and there) but these are better than I hoped for and included more than I thought they would. Highly pigmented, great range of colours, easy to use and blend super well. For less than $1 per pen, these are phenomenal. I havent used them long enough to know how quickly they run dry, but hope they last long. Definitely a good purchase for any artist. Only things I wished were different were that it had a handle on the spine and not just the little hook at the top, for easier carrying. I also found the order of colours strange, ordered by number instead of colour family which seemed to be very random, but that's easily rearranged to suit your preferences. Feels over all high quality.

Great pens. I've never really painted except for art class in elementary school over 20 years ago lol and it felt pretty daunting but these are really easy to use! I love the sheer amount of colors and even the different water container pens. They fit really nicely in the hand too. I really like the booklet that comes with it and helped me practice techniques! Overall solid product. 9/10

From and ART SUPPLY SNOB: This set shows what a company can do when they want you to succeed. You can believe every word in the ads. The pens are filled with brilliant color and bleed and blend exactly as they should. I have been creating art for years with the best brands for professional artists in the world. I never use student products, even in my sketch books because I can't trust them to be lightfast or to work as a quality product would. The results you get vary greatly and can mislead the development of good habits. This is the best product in it's class. No ink is permanent or lightfast. Only pigment based products are. Never the less, I had a friend suggest I try them for some detail work on a sketch. I had heard about another brand of watercolor "Clean Brush Pens," and thought they were misleading in many ways and they are. They are also way, way over priced. These pens however, are Exactly what they say they are at a Very Low Price Point and LOADED with Legitimate Extras. They should have taken the lead in the art community long ago. The pens are watercolor like inks, and say so. No misdirects with this brand. The key is that they actually work like watercolor. And you can learn techniques and create pieces the correct way, using a brush pen...... Their instructional videos are great! You only have to fill the included set of 4 water brushes and you can take them anywhere and work confidently at sketches and designs. You do receive a pad of sketched out pieces on good quality paper and videos of the correct way to use the pen. And, they do tell you that like any other skill, you need to practice....even seasoned artists. But practicing with these is Fun! They will help you develop and eye for detail as well as creating lovely washes. You should be very, very happy with this set and this company!

This is such a great product. The online instructional clips and the practice lesson paper provided was excellent. Very convenient. In hindsight. I don’t know if I really needed so many color options that this set provides. You will be fine with far less, but it’s priced appropriately. Note, the colors will fade in time, which should be expected with this type of watercolor application. You may want to explore spraying your images with something in order to keep their color vibrancy. I haven’t tried that yet so I can’t recommend anything in that regard. Overall, a great product!

I love these pens. They blend like a dream and the colors are beautiful. I’ve never had a problem using them at all. They dry quick and the art I can create with them exceeds my expectations. My only gripe is I ordered the 108 pen set to replace my 54 pen set and 5 of the pens were dried out! I was so bummed. I have reached out to the seller and they were very responsive. I am waiting for the replacement of the 5 pens but the rest of them are awesome.

I usually paint in acrylics and never really warmed up to watercolor before, but got these to sketch flowers from life and they are perfect for that! I appreciated the tutorials and the high quality of the paint brushes and the water brushes. A lovely set!

I loved the choices of colors; so much more advanced over previous purchases I have made. I look forward to doing the tutorial and if I can figure out how to do another review at that time, I’ll be glad to.

Chromatek is a fantastic company & well, they know it. Their site is quite frank about that, stating their watercolor pens (& Glitter pens) are THE best ANYWHERE in the world. Annnnnd well, they're right! These are FANTASTIC!!! The second I used this set (bought during Prime Days Yay!) I was in love. These are NOT for your coloring books people! Nor cheap paper (go with a pad of Canon XL WC paper, 16$ here on Amazon). These are made to paint with, using water- period. I would suggest you have some experience working with watercolor before buying these since they're a technical tool & also an investment. The colors are SO GORGEOUS & SO PIGMENTED! The brush tips are wonderfully made & the ink behaves abso stunningly. You can lay down color & tease the ink with the included water brushes to create some amazing results. I even managed to create washes, layers & blends on my 1st try. I have several sets of high end watercolor pens, pans & pencils like Faber Castell, Tombow, Inktense etc and these beat them all hands down. It's honestly like working with something brand new to the art supply world! Like your pans of watercolors but somehow way better. You might expect a small learning curve.. I'm a home artist with a few yrs of art & painting experience & after watching the tutorials, I was totally set. They're very well done, step by step. On top of the dozens of free tutorials, you get free paper & pre-printed scenes to paint, free water pens, free viewing of all their videos, free template downloads etc etc. I got a good deal on Prime Day but def wish I'd scored the 100 count set just because the colors are so beautiful & they work so well. A solid 10/10!!!! And if you are into coloring books, drawing, art etc like me, try their Gel pens. They are THE BEST too- Chromatek beats Sakura Gelly Rolls completely. The ink is like liquid crystals. I left a 10/10 review on that product page as well. Absolutely worth it, I can't recommend this company enough!!

Colors blend well and for once, my pictures are coming alive! 😂 (painting creatures, etc., from Lawnfawn) I would say that these are the best watercolor brushes I have ever used! Aquarell war als Technik lange außen vor. Ich hab mich nicht ran getraut. Mit der Stiftvariante habe ich einiges an Farben ausprobiert, doch glücklich wurde ich damit nicht. Das waren die ersten Aquarellstifte die eben auch ausschließlich dafür gemacht sind. Die Einführung über den Block und das Tutorial haben mir erste Schritte leicht gemacht. Mittlerweile habe ich meinen eigenen Ideen damit umgesetzt und es sind meine liebsten Stifte geworden. Ich habe über einen längeren Zeitraum verschiedene Sachen ausprobiert, von Weihnachtspostkarten, einfache Hintergründe und Techniken, Ausmalen von Vorlagen, eigenes Kartendeck mit Tochter gestaltet, Bilder in Fotocollagen einfließen lassen, usw. usw. Intensives Leuchten bleibt erhalten, es ist machbar grazile Feinarbeiten auszuführen, doch ebenso größere Flächen zu malen. Ich liebe diese Vielfalt der Farbstufen im Set, hätte sogar noch gerne mehr Farbspektren dabei gehabt. Aber zum Start genau richtig. Ich benutze sie nun seit einem Jahr, auch ganz gezielt für Bestimmtes und bis jetzt malen sie ausgezeichnet, sind nicht eingetrocknet andere Stifte hatten nicht mal halb so lange gehalten, obwohl gleich gelagert. Was ich jedoch dringend empfehle, gutes Aquarellpapier (unter 250mg geht gar nicht, behaupte ab 300mg kommen diese Farben erst wirklich zu ihrem Können) Geärgert habe ich mich über meine eigene Unachtsamkeit, weil die Verschlusskappe den Pinsel auseinandergedrückt hat & damit war der Stift leider nicht mehr so effektiv wie zuvor. Also rät es sich sehr bewusst dem Umgang zu widmen. In jedem Fall macht es riesig Spaß um Aquarell neu zu erfahren.
