A difficult find, but perfect for my needs and usage. This is a four-speaker system, but it works fine with just two. This is not a 5.1 system, but it has a subwoofer output, so you could have a 4-speaker system (left/right) with a subwoofer. It would have been nice if the CD/DVD had been Blu-ray, but it is not. Also note, there isn't a "line-out," although the sub-out could "be used" in a manner; I found it not really viable. So if you have multiple inputs, I would recommend using a second unit to feed all the inputs, then feeding a single output from that unit into this unit as input. Recommended.

Buyer beware. I rarely take time out of my day to write a review. I bought a PT696BT back in July 2020 for our new house. Receiver sat in box waiting for new house to be built (COVID delays). Finally moved in March 2021, hooked up this receiver, turned up the volume to about 35-39 (not even close to max volume). Something blew in receiver, horrible burning smell. Then could only turn up volume to about 30 ish, and receiver would pop over speakers and volume shut off. Contacted Pyle - even though I just hooked up receiver 2 weeks ago, because my purchase date was July 2020 - they wouldn't do anything. I could pay shipping to send unit for them to inspect. Then pay for shipping to return unit. Forget - just more lost money. Brand new unit sitting in the closet. Then I bought the PD3000BA with built in DVD. HORRIBLE! While it runs speakers and sounds pretty good, here's the problem: 1) if you are middle aged and wear reading glasses - the remote control is HORRIBLE. It's a dark blue background and black type - can't even read the darn thing. Have to get up and turn on lights to even see the remote buttons and then it's difficult. Terrible! 2) the built in DVD player is HORRIBLE. We have a couple movies at home, rented DVD at redbox - the system is playing the DVD in some foreign language. RIDICULOUS - I think French? Went to menu - setup, selected language: ENGLISH... and the darn thing still played the video is a foreign language. SERIOUSLY: the price point is really nice, but PYLE is a pile of junk. One of the worse products I've ever purchased. Please friends do yourself a favor: DO NOT BUY A PYLE PRODUCT. It's cheap for a reason. Doesn't work well and product support as usual with most big companies is awful. Sorry for the bad news. Just want people to know not to buy PYLE. Honestly, I would recommend to Amazon: don't even carry the product.

Sounds great but the sub outputs do not work. That was the original complaint I sent the unit to them when I received it back they said nothing wrong with it.When I looked at it the first thing I noticed about it was the chrome was wore off the knobs after looking closer the case had the corner damaged and was showing the bare metal so I contacted them again after about 20 emails to them they said send it back to them after 3 weeks they sent it back to me again they did nothing to it I originally sent it before the 30 day window closed now I have a beat up unit( not even the one I purchased) that is beyond the return limit now I have to go back to Amazon and ask them to step in and find a solution if they will try to make it right I know one thing I will never accept this damaged unit they need to not sell anything from Pyle I will update this as I receive information I will be posting this on all social media sites I still can't believe something I bought from Amazon has put such a bad taste in my mouth.amazon replaced the unit and this 1 is as expected so far

This is way more impressive than I thought I was going to get for $200. Im using it in the garage as an amplifier and it's pising of the neighbors pretty damn good 🤣🤣

This receiver amp has been a good piece for the price. I know it's not the greatest that you can buy but it is a pretty good piece. Remember when you put a stereo system together spend your money on the speakers anything else usually works pretty good. Just food for thought!

Okay so the only reason I'm going to give it a three is because there's information that they do not tell you when you buy this product the system the sound the DVD the CD sounds really good I haven't hooked up to two Rockville Tower three-way speakers it's pretty loud volume control goes all the way up to 60. But one thing I do want to note and for those that are going to be purchasing this for your brand new television set this can hook up to a TV however you're going to need an optic cord with a DAC converter kit only costs about like I don't know 20 bucks I have it switched over to RCA pre outs and it goes right into the auxiliary problem is is that the stereo itself does not have a setting for optical cable it has the connection but only for an out input out only my converter kit came in the mail today I hooked it up it sounds better it hooked up straight to the TV with no problem and I'm using auxiliary on the receiver I like the fact that it has a CD player because I got some old CDs that sound really legit try listening to Huey Lewis and the News it's pretty cool. If you buy the stereo make sure that you have some big speakers to push because this thing can definitely push them don't go over 8 ohms I just ordered two more slim wall speakers I like to see how that's going to sound when I get them but yes buyer beware you might have to really look into what you're going to buy because if your TV doesn't have the capability of connecting to it don't do it research research research thank you I hope this is helpful for those that are in the same predicament as me when I was looking for a receiver

Turn your studio into an after hours dance hall. This is a fun amp with some pretty nice attributes for the money. The LED’s are a bit over the top BRIGHT, and there are some deficiencies you would expect given the price point, but bang for the buck its a unit that will gave anyone with a few smarts a ton of powerful fun keeping the neighbours up and the windows rattling. I’d say know your four way before you decide, but if thats your thing.. then this is a solid fun purchase to put behind glass. customer support was impressive ( I had some trouble registering the product, not issues with the product itself)
