PDVD-12309C Swivel Screen 9-Inch Portable DVD Player (Old Model)

I bought this for my husband for Christmas as a gift as the old one finally died.He has thoroughly enjoyed it and the screen is a very nice size. The battery life is about an hour and half on the road.He likes it for its compact size and the swivel screen was a bonus. The speakers put out a fair amount of sound but if background noise is an issue you may need a headset or boosters. It has been very reliable and is used on a daily basis. It is not handled by kids so please take that into account on durability.The kids watch traveling but adults only handle it. It really appears to be solidly built but in our household has not been kid tested.Value for the price was great and we are very pleased with its performance.

We got this item so that my Mom could watch movies (the ones that Dad doesn't want to see) and Downton Abbey.It is easy for her to use and she likes the swivel screen.I wish the battery life was longer but she is able to charge it at her home very easily.The Amazon rep was very helpful and got this item out quickly so that we had it in time for her Birthday!!She loves having electronics that are all her own and one that my Dad doesn't monopolize! Perfect for her!

This old model of Verezano PDVD-12309C Swivel Screen 9-Inch Portable DVD Player is so much a better value for money than the recent models. We bought old model for my mom a long time ago for her to play her "old" christian DVDs and it still plays till date with very clear audio.It has a good screen resolution of about 480 X 234 with LCD swivel screen, built-in-Stereo speakers and headphone output jack. What I really love about this portable DVD player are the built-in-Lithium Battery and Multi- Language Subtitle.

I wanted a small DVD player/viewer for my bed side. I needed to be able to use headphones at night. I only have a couple of complaints. First, the screen only rotates in one direction (and for me, it's the wrong direction). Second, the 4:3 aspect ratio doesn't work. When watching DVDs that are from old TV shows and movies, the picture gets stretched a bit. Why bother to have this option in the settings if it isn't going to work? I should probably return it, but I'm getting used to it after a week and I'm too busy to bother with it. I cannot comment on battery life because I never unplug it. Oh, one other thing. The little remote control works fine (if you are not too far away) but it doesn't have an "on-off" function. This must be done each time at the unit; which leads me to ask, "What's the point of even having a remote?"

I bought this for a Christmas present for my six year old so she can watch HER movies. It is super easy for her to use. She can operate it all by herself. It comes with a remote control but you don't have to use it. There is an AC adapter so you don't have to use battery power. It's rechargeable if you do. The screen is a good size. Colors are true.Over all I would recommend this product.

This turned out to be a horrible purchase for the following reasons:1. The video resolution was very poor and everything looked blockish and cartoonish.2. The video play was always lagging and if there was any scratches on the disk, the player could not handle it at all. Most players can handle playing a disk that is lightly scratched and will continue to play regardless, this one could not at all. I verified this with a few disks, and even when playing a disk in perfect condition, the playback lagged/jumped several times, the same disk in any other player in my house played perfectly.3. The motor that spins the disk was far too noisy, it made almost twice as much noise as the portable player we had before this.4. Since this is supposed to be a portable player, it was impossible to move from one place to another while playing. It would skip or freeze up as soon as you carefully lift it, which means this player would be completely useless on any normal road trip.Sorry, but this player was just a disappointment and went right back.

Purchased this item for a flight to Canada. Tested it before the flight and worked fine. Then I tried it on the plane and I kept on getting this error: 'cannot read DVD' Thinking it was an issue with that specific DVD I tried another; same issue. After playing around with it; restarting it etc I finally go it to play but after about 10 seconds it just stopped and refused to play further. I tried again when I go to my destination thinking it has to do with the altitude (?!) with the same results. Returned it for full refundSUMMARY:Product felt and and looked great but was defective. It is possible it was just a fluke with my unit.One point on the design. I loved the black slick finish on the inside but would have loved for it to be on the outside instead of the diamond shaped plasticy feel finish.

We took this player with us on a trip recently. It's the best baby sitter I could have! They plug it in and pop in a DVD and no problem. The screen swivels around and will lay flat if you need space. The only problem is that it does not stay charged up for more than 30 minutes.
