Great product
These are quiet pricey, but so worth the money. The slats on my IKEA bed kept slipping meaning the bed was unusable. IKEA don’t offer a replacement. This product is brilliant! The bed is brought back to life! I highly recommend.

Does the job but expensive
I had to buy two (pairs) of these for my double bed. The spacing was slightly different to the original holders and the length is a bit too long, but that does not cause any issue. Expensive though

I think they work
I had to get these because, like other people have experienced, my Ikea bed slats kept slipping despite setting everything up correctly. I thought I had to buy two sets because I have a double bed (an Ikea Malm) but noticed that it would have been better to buy one set, for the outer two edges, and a different design to accommodate slats bi-laterally, for the middle of the bed. Anyway, I made do with what I have, and I cut slightly into one side of the middle slat holders in order to accommodate the second set of slats, so they fitted snugly alongside each other - the DIY option. This meant I only used three of the rubber holder strips. A second rubber strip on the middle beam would not have fitted. This solution seems to have worked okay and the slats have not moved. To fasten the slats to the metal frame on the left and right sides of the bed I had to perform another DIY trick by taking off the white plastic stoppers at the top and bottom ends of the metal frames and I unscrewed the screws they had clipped on to (the screws are on the underside of the metal frames and the white stoppers above the frames act as nuts for those, while there to stop the slats from slipping, albeit failing dismally!). I repurposed the four screws, putting them through the end holes of the rubber on top of the metal frame and also repurposed the white plastic stoppers by placing them again as nuts but this time on the underside of the metal frame - essentially inverting the positions they were in before. My reason for doing so - rather eccentrically - was because the rubber was too thick for the white plastic stopper to act as a nut to the screw below (it rather bounced off the top), and because I did not have any alternative materials at home to find another solution. I may replace the white stoppers with some metal nuts (opting for whichever option is more secure) and I will add further screws and nuts in places further along the strips where the metal frame’s holes allow, but I will need to purchase thicker, longer screws than those supplied in this product’s packet - they were no use: too thin for my Ikea bed which had larger holes in places on the metal frame. So far, as a stop gap, it has all held up fine and my improvisation secured the rubber strips, but it will require a more permanent approach with the right tools. It was impossible, with the equipment I had, to find a way to attach the rubber to the central - thick metal - beam. The reason why the rubber holders have stayed in place is through tight tension alone. There are two holes at the top and bottom ends of the middle beam but for the positioning to work - when currently it does not - I will need to pierce the rubber with a bradawl and then add screws through it to attach the rubber strip through the beam’s holes. This is not a huge problem but it would be much easier with an electric drill. The other thing is that Ikea double beds tend to have 17 slats, and not 16 (Ikea is a bit of a pain like that), so one slat either side on the bed could not be attached to a holder. This was not a huge deal - I ensured it was a middle slat and not either of the top or bottom slats, which absolutely must be secured. In other words, while it is an improvement and I have not found any slippage with my makeshift usage of the product, I do wonder if this is good value for money at the price - had they been £20 each I would perhaps have been more generous with my score. The product cannot be used as is without some adaption, even if in my case that was crude and quick. I managed to adapt it myself to make it basically functional but will need to adapt it a little more to make it truly workable in the long term, as I am still not hundred percent confident with my urgent ‘make do’ approach! In a nutshell, for an Ikea Malm bed, I recommend buying one set of the holders for a double bed, a bi-lateral holder for the centre beam, and some thick and long screws and nuts.

Perfect for the job, but very expensive!
Yep, did the job. But cost a fortune.

Expensive but worth every penny
I bought this to replace old broken ikea ones, it is costly but worth it! It has made a massive difference.
