The Emerald Tablet: Alchemy for Personal Transformation Review: Updated Review - Great Interpretation - After reading more of this book, I want to say that it's refreshing to find someone who has an original perspective on Hermetic Sciences. I'm a scholar on Esoteric Wisdom, and in my experience, most contemporary authors format all their work off a generally accepted template, and after awhile, you hardly ever get a fresh point of view that has an innovative way of interpreting the same basic set of Hermetic texts. I really like Hauck's perspective and how he interprets the symbolic concepts involved. He maintains the poetic aspect that makes it inspirational and engaging, while bringing it down to earth and making the knowledge valuable in terms of utilizing it in your everyday life to grow and transform yourself to a higher level of understanding. We can only utilize what we first understand, and he writes with an intention of breeding a deeper understanding of what can be considered universal principles. I look forward to more of his work in the future. Well written, with great graphics, and the interpretations were very good, quite accurate, I only wish it had been written with a larger font size. The text is small, and my eyesight isn't real great, so it's a bit hard to read. But overall, great book! Review: Very informative for personal transformation - Very informative book for those looking for deeper understanding on personal transformation.

It arrived in good conditions.
It arrived on time, I bought the paperback edition which is more than enough for me. The paper feels different, like a different type of material (whiter) compared to standard books, kinda fragile but it's ok, I will take care of it properly. Black and white images with proper resolution to be analized. Good addition to my personal collection though. Thank you!

Blowing my Mind....a second time!
The Emerald Tablet: Alchemy for Personal Transformation is blowing my mind and is blowing it a second time as I re-read my personal dog-eared and heavily highlighted, underlined and written in the margins copy of Hauck's brilliant masterpiece. This is THE book of all books on Alchemy....because it reveals alchemy at its core which is a process for personal transformation - supporting the reason we are indeed here as humans - to become fully self-actualized. This work has validated and concretized my own work, giving me the long-sought after name for what I have been doing and teaching for the past 20+ years - Christian Alchemy. Thank you Dennis for this exhaustive and comprehensive work. I am relishing my second read and look for to the third! Informative and thought provoking
I found this a fasinating read. For the interested layman it gives a good account of alchemy's history in Europe, and explains the basic stages of transformation. Nevertheless, the book confirms that the hermetic form of mysticism seems to be based primarlily on the intellect, so inevitably tends to focus on self rather than others. Thus the power of reason supercedes that of love, which means that adherents (Freemasons, Knights Templars, Rosicrucians, and so on) were susceptible to and had reputations for arrogance. Though I personally enjoy books of this type, ultimately I can't bring myself to share the authors enthusiasm for the alchemical ideal.

The Emerald Tablet is a Gem
First of all, discount the detractors of this excellent book! Whether you are simply surveying alchemical history and traditions or want a shelf reference book for your personal mystical endeavors, this is a highly useful work by a long-time student and master in the hermetic disciplines. These sorts of books require patience to assimilate and interpret, from allegory and metaphor to practical application. Bear in mind that as more ancient history is uncovered through archaeology and the process of human evolution is extended back along the timeline of our development, what might presently be unacceptable to some becomes validated in many unexpected ways by discovery of humanity's deeper past and its expanding inter-relational data base. Enjoy this read! Most of all, always, be a walking question mark in anything you read, see or otherwise experience.

The Emerald Tablet as a beginner
This is a great book for those just starting their alchemical path. Hauck has a deep knowledge of this subject and is offering a clarity that is not found in most books. He breaks things down with ease and is not shy to address the nuances between various areas. If you also adore this book, and you are looking for alchemical training, find his website-based courses.

Dennis William Hauck has the unique ability to describe the subtle world of the unseen in such a way that it is clearly seen. As someone who is deeply curious about the alchemical process of self-transformation, this book is essential. I'll be referring to it for years to come. I'm looking forward to reading more of the author's books.
