Water time delight
These were perfect for my trip to Hawaii. Easy to walk in the water areas and somewhat easy across the rocks.

Good protection for sand, water temperature
I had a similar pair of these for snorkeling/wading in colder water last year and found they really helped (but I misplaced them), so I purchased these to keep my feet comfortable on hot sand and while walking on coarser sand. Although these don't protect the soles of the feet as well as actual shoes with rubber soles, they served the purposes for which I bought them very well. The sizing chart doesn't seem entirely accurate though... since it was in inches rather than shoe sizes, I measured my foot and ordered a large. I wear a women's 7-8 and had a couple of extra inches flapping around on the ends of my toes. It didn't particularly matter since I was just casually hanging out at the beach, but for more serious swimming or running (or actually wearing them in my fins), it could have been a hindrance.

The size does not match
I use these socks for my fins. My foot is "M" (Number 9) but the socks were too small for me. The following size must be selected, in my case "L". I tried to change them at Amazon, via phone, but the Amazon service did not create the return and I had to keep them.

I was trying to get the appropriate size based on ...
I was trying to get the appropriate size based on the sizing chart and other customer reviews. I am a male with slender feet who typically wears between 8.5 and 9.5 in a dress shoe, and my current running shoe is a 10.5. I ordered the large size scuba sock, and it is very snug, *almost* too small. I ordered these to use as socks for water shoes, so I think I would prefer them to be a bit larger and slightly looser. For scuba purposes, very snug might be okay, that's not my area of expertise. I just wish I had ordered an XL instead of an L, so be wary if you don't want an extremely tight fit.

These are nothing special and they do stretch out after a couple of usages.
I purchased these for a diving trip in Mexico just a couple of days before leaving so I didn't really have time to try them out before packing for the vacation. I was a bit disappointed in the sizing because them seemed really big for my feet and I always order XL when it is not listed in a shoe size (what can I say, I have big feet!). After a day of snorkeling and pulling off my gear these neoprene socks seems to continue to stretch out and they never regained their original shape. So, because I had worn them and they were cheap I didn't try to do a return to Amazon. I'm a believer in you get what you pay for so... If you want a higher quality and better fit then look around. If you do order these I'd suggest you go a size smaller! Hope this review helps!

WHICH SIZE?
The size chart on these things could be better. I sifted through all the reviews to try to find recommendations for my size instead of relying on the size chart. I went with a size MEDIUM and wear a size 9.5-10 Women's shoe. Snug fit, but you have to remember that if you plan to wear them while wet, they need to be snug otherwise they will sag and fall off once saturated with water. I ordered a size up for my husband who wears a size 10-10.5 Men's shoe and they fit well. I hope this helps someone!

A little too small
According to the size chart I should be a small but they didn't fit my toes were very scrunched, I would recommend to go one size up from the chart on site. However the price was right so I'm not planning on returning them I'll be passing them along to a younger family member. If your family swims as well I would recommend to pass them along if you order the wrong size the material feels very nice to the touch so for what it is it seemed silly to go through the trouble of a return.

Overall, worth the price.
I bought these for an 8 mile (round-trip) hike through The Zion Narrows, which consisted of walking upstream through cool water a majority of the time. They held up well and did a good job at keeping my feet from getting too cold as I walked through the water. I'd recommend going with higher neoprene socks to avoid irritating your skin if you're going the wear with hiking boots for long periods of time as I did (mistake on my part). Overall I'd say these neoprene socks are well worth the price, but be sure to look at the sizing chart as they are a snug fit.
