Little Donkey Andy Men’s Softshell Jacket with Removable Hood, Fleece Lined

I was looking around town for a thin, water-resistant exterior (softshell) hooded jacket with soft interior and zipper pockets (including breast pocket)..I could not find it anywhere. I either found hood-less versions with the breast pocket, or hooded versions without the pocket, and they were all in the $80 price range on a %20 or more sale.So... To Amazon I went!.. And am I glad I took a chance on Little Donky Andy, because this jacket is amazing quality and an even better price. It has all the features I was looking for, albeit the breast pocket is on the opposite side, but it's an Australian brand so I figure they just do things a little backwards- it's not really a problem.The materials feel BETTER than the more expensive jackets I felt in the stores, and I felt a lot of jackets.The only critique I have on this jacket is that I would prefer the hood to have the bill in front that some raincoats have, but it covers my head nicely and has the cord for tightening which is a MUST HAVE in my opinion, as well as velcro cuff adjusters and waist line cord adjuster. The hood is removable via a zipper and is well covered by a flap that runs along it so that it is not visible either while wearing the hood or not.On the inside of the right pocket sewn into the corner is a nice touch- A spot to put your chapstick where they just sewed an inch or so up to make a little pocket inside the pocket.. Pocket-Ception!I'm 5'8" 170lb, & I ordered a large which is what I wear, and it fits really good. I think the arm pits or shoulders could have had a little more room because when I put my arms straight up, you can see about 2" of my belly, and it's just slightly tight when I squat and reach down, with the sleeves coming back a few inches, but when just standing normally, everything is right where it should be, with the waist a few inches down over my belt- unlike some others I tried on that stopped right at the top of my belt.The sleeves are just right.In fact, for as much as I can expect from ordering a jacket without trying it on, the jacket fits really well, and I'm sure it'll stretch out a little as I break it in and get more comfortable.I wasn't sure about the rubber logos ar first, but I dont mind them; And they're right to want people to know who made such a badass jacket for such a great price!Also, the waist line of the jacket dips down in back to better cover your arse- another nice feature.There is just enough room to wear a sweater underneath.It doesn't have inside pockets, which is fine. The hand pockets are just slightly higher than I'd like, but are nice and deep, going past my wrist and half way up my forearm.I do wish they had included a loop for hanging the jacket; The size looped tag is there and it works for hanging, but takes two hands.

The media could not be loaded. I'm 5'7" 140lbs and I bought a medium. Fits PERFECTLY. I will report back after I test the weather resistance but as for now, it's comfortable, looks good, and fits.Update: It is VERY warm and down well against wind and water. As the description says, it's a light jacket but still does a great job at keeping you warm and giving you mobility. After a month of use it's held up pretty well. The only thing that's gone wrong is the little velcro strap on the sleeve that allows you to tighten it around your wrist doesn't work when it's loose. However when I tighten it, it works just fine.

I am a big guy and the XL fit perfect. it is like wearing a sweater and stretches as you more. its good in temps down to 30 def F room for a scarf and the pockets are large and fit gloved hands. the hood is designed for great left right views but not a tight face seal. It is great for jogging visibility. It is water resistant for light to medium drizzle. Its wind proof but not for sub freezing temps. It stretches and moves with you as you bend and do work around the house. It looks great as well. A really nice coat and fits true to sizing charts. Well done!

I liked this jacket so much that 2 years after I bought my first I bought a second.Features I like:-Unlike 'regular' fleeces it is windproof, water proof and pet fur does stick to it (as much).-Durable fabric-All the pockets are great lot's of functional options. I use the chest pocket all the time.-When it's extra cold or rainy I love the hood. Even though I never remove the hood I love that I have the option to remove it.-I like the cut of it or that it's somewhat fitted.-The corny nameThe main downside:-Looking through my wardrobe it's clear I straddle the divide between medium and small. I ordered my first Little Donkey jacket as a medium and was swimming in it so I returned it for a small which is still a little large but since I work outdoors and wear lots of layer it is tolerably large. I ordered small for my second jacket and it is even larger. If there was an extra small option I would get that. The sleeves are at least an inch longer than my original small jacket and the cuffs while they have better velcro closures they are more bulky. (I cut the closures off the first jacket because the velcro failed after a few months). All around this second jacket is longer, larger and more bulky than the first. (which was slightly too large) I am 5'6" 150# with broad shoulders.

Surprised to find such quality and good styling at this price, cuts the wind and water with no issues, comfortable at a wide range of temps, warm when you need it but still breathable. The materials are very sturdy, it feels more like the $100+ jackets that I have worn. Overall a great "everyday" jacket that will get you through most mild-moderate weather conditions and still looks good enough for a casual night out.I'm 6'2" with wide shoulders and an athletic build and a large fit me well with lower edge falling a few inches below my belt. The lower edge will ride up when I put my arms over my head but I feel like that's unavoidable with the look that the jacket is going for. The sleeves are long enough which is usually a sticking point for me. Plenty of pockets, the lower ones are kind of an awkward angle but that's minor. Hood lies flat and keeps out of the way and being able to remove it is a nice feature. Will definitely be buying from this company in the future.

I like the design of the coat. It’s reminiscent of a double diamond softshell. It’s lightweight and water resistant which makes it perfect for those early fall days. It’s also comfortable and color is quite fetching.
