Perfect for what we needed

Have a Thetford 40515 portable waste tank that had a hose leak. The replacement hose assembly for this tank is hard to find/ mostly backorder and expensive. I used this hose as a replacement and it works just fine for a fraction of the cost.

I bought this for a cousin eddie Halloween costume. It worked wonderfully for that, though I can't comment on how well it would serve its intended purpose.

This hose is designed to connect between your RV dump valve and a portable waste tank, just as the name says. This is the reason it has a bayonet fitting on both ends. To empty into the campground sewer connection, an adapter will most like be needed. Hopefully, this answers the reason for some of the 1- and 2-star reviews that mention this anomaly.All that said, this 5-foot sewer hose does exactly what it is design to do. But it is the slinky-est and stinky-est stinky slinky I’ve ever encountered. You will definitely want to open this package in the great outdoors, and let air out several days before using it or bringing it into any enclosed environment because the initial smell is perhaps even worse (albeit different) than the smell of your black tank! Fortunately, with use and more airing between use & storage, the smell finally dissipates.This hose is also not at all rigid. We usually use Rhinoflex dump hoses, but this hose has no structure and it will not stay compacted at all.Again, all that said, this hose accomplishes it’s task exactly as intended. We’ve experienced no leaks in 3 uses. I’m satisfied, but I kinda wish I’d spent the few more $ for the 3-foot Camco version because of the rigidity.

Good sturdy sewer line. The only negative is it doesn’t come with end caps. You might want to order those as well.

Like others said,leave out side to air out the plastic smell,its baddddBut its a nice hose

Seems to be very well built. Have only used it once but made emptying my RV tanks easier.
