Great Amazon Service, poor manufacturer practice
The 5 stars is for the Amazon service not the battery. I ordered this replacement battery. This was the third battery I had to order for my mower, which is an average of a new battery every 2 years. When I received the battery I realized it did not fit my mower as the model had changed from 60120 to 60220. Earthwise no longer makes the replacement battery for mower model 60120, so basically my mower is of no use to me. That being said, you can still buy the old model mower which makes no sense. Amazon does not accept returns on batteries, however they refunded my money in full. I then ordered a manual push mower. I will never again buy a cordless battery mower as the batteries do not last, but I will continue to be a loyal Amazon customer due to the awesome service I received.

Repeatedly dies after about 6 months
I have had this mower for 3 years and the battery dies every year. Every spring we have to buy another one. After the first one died we have been careful not to overcharge it (I bought an outlet timer) and bring it indoors over the winter but every spring it's dead again. Update: after some more research I discovered that you can disassemble this battery case and replace the batteries inside it for about half the cost of buying a new cartridge. I bought two 12V batteries "12V 20AH SLA Battery replaces UB12220 51913 12896 ub12180 gp12170 np18-12 - 2PK" here on Amazon. The battery cartridge comes apart with about 8 screws, the new batteries drop in and as long as you wire them back up correctly you're back up and running. I also learned that the batteries can be killed by overcharging and exposure to extreme temperatures. Overcharging can occur if you leave it plugged in for more than a day or two. The charger that comes with the mower isn't a trickle charger and can kill the battery if it remains plugged in. Pretty dumb design but this may explain why me and a bunch of other people have dead batteries. The batteries can also be killed by being left outside in cold weather, especially if they are discharged. They actually recommend keeping the battery indoors when it isn't used and topping up the charge every 30 days. So if you just push your mower into the shed in the fall and bring it out in the spring you're probably killing the battery. This was all helpful to know, and makes the mower higher maintenance than I realized, but at least I think I'm starting to figure out why the batteries are dying... Update: After rebuilding my battery cartridge with the batteries I described above at the end of last year, this mowing season I've been very careful with them. I never charge them for more than 18 hours at a time; I kept the battery indoors all winter and charged it once per month; the battery is never exposed to temperatures below about 50F or above 90F. However, it has still slowly lost power. My lawn is about 1/5 of an acre and I can mow about 40-50% of it on a full charge. So mowing the lawn is now a multi-day task, I try to finish the back one day and the front the next day. I am just not sure why I'm having so much trouble with these batteries...

Unit sent was incorrect
Product did not meet my expectations. The site to hook up to my lawnmower was not compatable. I had to revamp the unit by removing batteries from my old pack and replacing them with batteries from the ones I received. The problem was the case, not the batteries. The new case was set up to receive a spade type connection. My lawnmower was a simple plug in. The recharge set up was externally located for a phone jack type access. The new unit required the unit to be removed to access the input. The rework I did allowed me to use the mower immediately and not wait two weeks get a correct unit sent. BS82024 24 volt 20 amp battery is a great battery, my only problem is recharging this battery ...
BS82024 24 volt 20 amp battery is a great battery, my only problem is recharging this battery outside of Earthwise 60220 cordless lawn mower. It Is stated in owner's manual that battery can be charged inside and outside of mower. Problem is that the battery charger supplied with mower can only be used to charge battery when in mower. I have tried unsuccessfully to attain a battery charger to charge battery outside of mower. Connection on DC side of cable only fits the plug on the mower. Outside of battery connections are different than the outside mower connection. Help!

Worked fine, should not have gone bad in one year.

Started out strong, ended up dead!
Not a good product. The lawnmower is a fine lawnmower, but the batteries are very poor. Much technological improvement needs to take place in these batteries before I will ever try again. Went back to a gas mower.

Got it really fast. It was the correct one & dropped it in & charged up the mower. Very satisfied with the battery & i hope it lasts a little longer than the last one.

It is good product and recommend for others. No complaints until used by me. It was not charged couple months than stop charging. It was my fault not product fault. Thank you so much

Works well with some minor alterations for my Homelight cordless mower. Only worked for one season . This year would not hold any charge

Nothing against Earthwise but 24 volt 200 amps batteries are not powerful and not lasting enough for the job

All worked OK, but my model was 4 years old so the case and the plug adapter on the new battery would not work so I dismantled it and put on the old style from the old battery. All is working very well.
