Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY THESE BOOKS FOR YOUR KIDS!
These books are one of the worst things you can possibly buy for a young reader. Children develop spelling skills as they read. This requires words to be spelled correctly in order to reinforce spelling in a child's mind. These books purposefully misspell any word ending in "mous", and even whenever "mous" appears in a word. Whenever a word has "mous", the books add an "e" at the end. An example of this is "famous" and "famously". The books spell these words as "famouse" and "famousely". It's an attempt to be cute. Unfortunately, this is absolutely detrimental to a young reader's spelling skills as they will learn to spell these words with the spelling utilized by the books. It can take an extremely long time to undo the damage caused by these books. Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY THEM.
