Fun Toy
I got this for my 10 year old daughter for Christmas to go with her ipod. She loves it. Its cute and fun for a kid. My 1 year old daughter also enjoys watching it. The only thing is when ups dropped it off they said if its a surprise to keep it away from the kids because it had been making noise the whole trip.

A huge hit
I bought this for a make-a-wish type of thing where the instructions indicated I should buy a music making toy for a preschooler. I got this and everyone who works for me, including the guys, was taken with it. Really really cute and suitable for a range of ages.

"Too Babyish" for Music Fans w/ MP3 Players
I ordered this to give to a friend's little girl (Age 8). I first showed it to my boys (Age 6 and 9) and they had zero interest in it (because of the colors I presume). The problem I see with this toy is that there are two aspects to it that reach two different age groups. According to the manufacturer, the suggested age group is 6 years and up. I share this because I learned that the 8 year old girl I gave it to ended up giving it to her 4 year old sister. This sums up the problem. The appearance of the dog and the supporting web site seem to appeal to a younger age group (under 6 or so). However, the big feature--and the one that warrants a price tag of over $20--is that it is a speaker that also dances to music from an MP3 player. What I discovered is that most kids don't seem to really get into music and MP3 players until they are older than six. So, if a girl is interested in music and iPods they seem to not be interested in something as cute as this. When I asked the girl I gave this to why she gave it to her sister, she said it was "too babyish". Further, the younger girl never really played with it because she had no MP3 player and would rather play with her soft, stuffed animals than this hard plastic dog. So, in the end, it sits on her shelf and isn't used as a toy or as an accessory for an iPod or MP3 player. Not recommended.

Great for a little girl
this is a cute gift but it seems a little chinsy. Hope it holds up. Kids toys should be kid proof.
