As an overview for raising pigs it is good. It doesn't include specific info on certain breeds, but the general info is very helpful.

This book is a primer, a very basic overview, not much more than a long blog post. It might be useful to help decide if you wanted to raise pigs or not, but if you decide you do want to raise them, you’ll need to buy another book with more details and information... which is what I’m having to do now.

good book about raising pigs on small basis on friendly farm -I liked it a lot and my 12 year old daughter liked it alot. it helped us make good decision about something very new to our family for 4.H

It's okay. very general information. Nothing to detailed just very simplistic. Has some recipes etc.

Great guide to the ins and outs of successful pig farming. Whether one or dozens, this book will show you how to raise your pigs in a healthy and humane way. The Backyard Farming series is really terrific and presents a library of reference for the active homesteader.
