Fabulous for the price!!
I play gigs a couple times a year and decided to invest in a minimally-invasive violin pickup to make mic set-up easier and cut down on feedback. The sound quality is fantastic! I opted to place the pickup on the A & E string side of the bridge as I felt the D & G side wasn't projecting the higher notes as well. Doesn't sound "tinny" like some cheaper electric violins sound. I think it does a great job preserving the rich acoustic sound and with minimal if any popping or feedback issues. It doesn't add too much weight, either. Great buy!!

Good pickup
It's not a bad pickup. Although it muted the acoustic violin slightly, it picks up the really well. However the installation part is slightly troublesome as you'll need to sand down the waist of the violin bridge. I would recommend to slit the sensor on the G string side as it sounds better with more bass.

It’s a nice sound
It has the warmer, woody quality I was looking for, but my first review was for three stars because of a crunchy midrange. But, I think the performance is improved with use, as if the wood aging made it better. Be advised too, that you will have to file a bit on your bridge to make more space for this pickup.

Great Device. . . . for Public Performance!
This is the second pickup like this I have installed. . . . . one on a full size violin, and this one on my viola, that I use on a regular basis for public performances using a PA or amplifier. The ease of playing my viola, without having to stand near a vocal mic is such a relief!! Now I can relax, and move more naturally with my instrument, and also use some reverb, effects with it, independent of our vocal mic settings. An extremely easy to install pickup system!! A slight modification to the bridge, with a mini file, or sandpaper. . . . .is all that is necessary for proper placement.

LR Baggs preamp really helps
At first the KNA VV3 pickup on my violin sounded so bright and harsh i thought I would be sending it back. But after a day or so of tweaking using the EQ options on my LR Baggs Venue DI things have turned around dramatically. I had to roll off the piercing highs dramatically as well as some of the nasal mids. But now the sound is surprisingly warm and natural. I never would have thought it would be this good based on the first listen. I have to say I am completely satisfied now, and the volume level before feedback is awesome. So can say the KNA VV3 is a great option for a violin pickup, but you are likely going to need a good EQ capable preamp to tame this beast.

Ok cool it happens
Received first pickup, did not work. Ok cool it happens. Received replacement pickup. Doesn't work. If you hold it just right a certain way it works for a sec or two. Garbage quality control. Stay away until they resolve this issue. Got this because of the size. I guess I will have to hunt for another pickup. I bought below after second try of the Kremona, guess what, worked the first time, sounds fine, and was less than 10 bucks. Go figure.Andoer Cherub WCP-60V Clip-on Pickup Pick-up for Violin with 1/4" Jack 2.5M Cable Compact Professional

I stopped using it
I don't remember why I stopped using this pickup. But I was planning to buy another when the wonderful Amazon records keeping advised that I had bought one in 2021. And then it was in the first box of many that I planned to search for it. If you looked over my studio you would know that was a gift. It was about that time, 2021, that I decided to try an electric violin and that is where I have been. I am now thinking I might want to join the church choir and the acoustic would look nice. That violin was made by my great uncle and I got it in 1936. I am now 95. It has been appraised at a quite healthy amount. So this is a little review with some history. If I get that violin humming I'll update this review.
