My Big Wimmelbook—A Day at the Zoo (My Big Wimmelbooks)

For a family that absolutely loves the other My Big Wimmelbooks, this one was a big disappointment. We actually pre-ordered this book because our toddler loves the others so much. Sadly, the illustrations, colors, and printing qualities are not up to par with those by Stefan Lohr and Max Walther.Our advice- buy a Big Wimmelbook, just not this one!

We have and love all of the other Wimmelbooks but this one definitely doesn't seem to fit in the collection. I like the idea of a book about the zoo, but we much prefer the other authors/illustrators. The illustrations are larger, so there is less detail than the other ones - not as many things to find. Still a cute book, but not as good as the other Wimmelbooks.

My little guy is 3.5 and he LOVES these books! I think i've gotten him 4 or 5 of them now. There's seemingly endless things to do with these books! Depending on how easy or difficult you need it to be for your child, I pick a person, vehicle, animal, etc for him to find and he loves it. The illustrations in each 'scene' are great and funny too!

We love our Wimmel books! They are really interesting and keep my kids, 2 and 6, entertained. These are especially handy during road trips or waiting rooms. We didn’t care for the illustrations in this book, which is why I dropped it to a 3 star. It’s not as detailed and seems more like a cartoon. It was kind of a let down after the Animals Around the World Wimmel book.

My 2 year old loves this book. There's so much to look for in each page, and he has fun finding the characters and talking about what they are doing in the picture.

Poor illustrations compared to other wimmelbooks. Not as immersive or clever. Save your money
