Set up was pretty standard . The OS is built just for surveillance. First time turning on it runs you through set up. Location , date time etc. Comes with a mouse to navigate interface . Image is 720p through lens but 1080p on TV or monitor. If your familiar with the first version of ring or nest the night and day vision clarity is similar . It comes with a app you can use if your away from your house . On the app and DVR. You can choose segments you wish to save for whatever reason and zooming . It's TRUE wireless other then placing them near a outlet or running a longer ac adapter or extension cord. This is by far the best value considering price comparison to other systems . This is not compatible with smart devices for those wondering hence the price listing but don't quote me I'd have to double check. I do believe the nvr can support up to 8 cameras with of course additional units purchased . The holes in the Camara stand are small but it comes with 4 screws and 4 anchors per camera. I also used liquid nails for a more permanent and that just incase secure measure but that's my own take . The interface is equivalent to a standard system used in a retail or gas station store if anyone has experience working in that line of work. Serves purpose.

Great and easy camera as far as a plug and play. becomes more complicated if you want remote access via phone. for the price is a very good system.You do not need a home Wi-Fi to set up the cameras play it on the NVR and watch it on your monitor.But remember you have to use your own monitor or TV and I believe it does not hook up to a laptop or iPad.Also remember these do not come with a hard drive so it does not record (or play back anyways) on your home monitor.I learned these are not wide angle cameras where I have a cheap wide angle camera the covers my entire front yard . takes two cameras to cover that front yard with these. ( little disappointed )When mounting the cameras, they are wireless to the NVR . But you still need to power the cameras with a power cord .so sometimes it’s easier to mount them where you have access to a power outlet also with mounting the cameras there’s a little Allen Wrench that you can loosen up different sections of the camera and allow you to move the camera up down and spin a bit clockwise/counter wise. But could not angle camera left/right. ( this should be improved !!! )I took a shimm ( like a matchbook ) and placed between the wall and camera mount on the right side forcing it to angle to left )Last issue is to view on your phone, you DO need home WiFi. I have not found anyway to connect my WiFi without a Ethernet cord. This means your NVR needs to be within 3 or 4 feet of your home router. ( or buy a longer Ethernet cord )I thought you can hook it up without the cord But You can’t. I will buy a 100 ft cord and run it thru my house.Don’t know about functions with phone yet ( still working on the stinking cord thing).Over all it is a nice system, seems to have a lot of functions if you are a computer whiz. That’s not me. Want a simple plug n play without phone viewing and just want to monitor what’s outside from home or office. then don’t pass this up. This part is extremely simple. You don’t have to pair camera to NVR it’s automatic! Nice.Anything more takes a little more work ( like recording or phone access ).But still for the money I won’t complain, much.One last thing I should mention is I know some people have complained about losing connection to the camera. Most likely the farther the camera from the NVR more likely for a weaker connection.My Farthest camera from my NVR is only about 50 or 60 feet and goes through 2 or 3 Walls of the house and works perfectly.Night is really good.Ok, bought a 50 ft Ethernet so I can view with phone.Could not get any connection from the DVR to the app on phone.Spent days working on this with zero success.No manual available in detail to connect.Spent 2 days with Amazon tech support( Maria who was absolutely wonderful ) never found a actual tech support for the manufacture, located in China .Amazon could not get through to Eversecu either.We both agreed it was time to return this item and purchase a more common brand.Just want to view the monitor? Buy itWant anything else? Buy something else.

The phone app is definitely stealing your data. The software asks for access to your contacts and such so,I looked at my firewall and it was communicating with an IP in China. I deleted the app and just use the system offline.It works well enough for my needs but the management software is hot garbage. The motion detection is far too sensitive and can be triggered by the slightest of movements.I would not recommend it to anyone unless you know how to protect yourself on the internet..

This is a very good bang for your buck camera system. Have had no trouble with it. All cameras connected right out of the box wireless. Has good quality video and night vision. The fact that it has facial recognition is pretty cool too. Meaning if it sees a face it actually says face on the screen. Alerts you to movement. Very simple to set up. All in all a good system I have bought 2 so far 1 for my business and 1 for my house.

I would write a review but I can't because I did not receive all the contents. Nowhere on the app where I bought it said ANYTHING about hard drive not being included or sold separately. It does advertise that it works using your android smart phone. Again no such luck finding anything on how to do that. I spent almost $130.00 for my home that got broken into I have 6 children in my home to keep safe. The misleading advertising about the "security cameras that records with DVR, motion detection compatible with Android phones.... Is VERY dangerous and may cost someone and their families, their lives.

It's a nice unit night vision I had to add a light, looks alot better now. But there's no sound which I wish it had1 month later cameras get very hot and go out now and random.7 months later I had some issues with the DVR that stopped working and I contacted there support team and they gave me some info that wasnt on the directions.They did good and there giving me another dve and I can get my unit back up and running, Which I'm thankful for. Because my neighborhood not the greatest

You get what you paid for, this NVR only worked for a few weeks, then just stop working, I checked the system, and the NVR main board was just fried, know I got 4 cameras for nothing. This item was connected to a UPS and the power supply it's working fine. Bye bye NVR.

Cameras work great they also have great picture(s) too.. l'll try to do an updated version w/ pics!

Easy install and good quality, my customer like, and i will buy in the future,but if the power supply cord if longer will good
