An Aliensend. No more headaches from pine woodworking dust.
I can't go near dust. As a Starseed, if I am exposed to a wisp of organic Earth dusts, I get an instant sinus headache that lasts most of the day and sometimes 2 days. I enjoy breathing heavy plumes of thick and rich pine dusts, and hardwood dusts, and all other forms of organic cutting dusts. But my body doesn't fair very well, and I actually can't even make a single cut with a radial arm saw or miter saw without incurring some form of sinus reactions. Sanding is the worst, if I sand one single little nip of wood on a 6" x 48" one horsepower belt combo sander, I am instantly destroyed.Enter this mask. I ordered a large. Big mistake. It's WAY too big. Somehow it still fits, and works, because it's such a soft pliable and supple rubber. Indeed as other reviews state, the mask is loose in the package, and looks like it was a return, or maybe used. But I needed to use it, and I couldn't afford to return it and exchange it for a medium. To my delight, it works very well, and I don't get any signs of dust poisoning when using this mask to make a birdhouse, making at least 30 cuts over the course of a day in pine boards with a 1956 Dewalt antique saw. Normally I am absolutely obliterated from such a feat. These masks don't include any information in the package, none whatsoever, so you have no idea how the filter works, or if it actually works. But it does appear to work very well, as I don't get any side effects after being bathed in a huge cloud of pine dust from dry pine boards, where my clothes are covered head to toe in dust. No sinus issues! There is the issue of moisture, and the moisture behind the mask is annoying. I tried wearing a gator, under the mask, and it doesn't really help at all. The moisture is a side effect of all rubberized masks, so it's not really a problem. But the moisture and re-breathing the humidity of the breath, does cause my sinuses to get irritated, but that's just because everything irritates me, and it's no fault of the mask. This is a good mask, and it blocks the dust from woodworking. I would order a MEDIUM, unless you are 6'4" or taller. You'd have to be almost a giant, to be able to fit the large mask. It's about 1" taller than my face, and I have a normal face.

Comfortable and Effective Mask
I’ve been using the 3M Reusable Half Facepiece Respirator, and I’m really impressed. The fit is super comfortable, and the seal is excellent. It feels secure without being too tight or uncomfortable, even when I’m wearing it for longer periods. What I like most is how well it works. The design makes it easy to breathe while still feeling completely protected. It’s also lightweight, which is a nice bonus. If you’re looking for a reliable mask that fits great and gets the job done, I’d definitely recommend this one. It’s well worth the price!

Best mask I found for wearing with glasses but size chart is off.
Ever since the start of the pandemic, I have struggled to find a mask that wouldn't fog up my glasses. After seeing a recommendation for this mask for use in a shop on a YouTube woodworking channel, I ordered a small/medium mask based on the sizing chart even though, technically, it is not for medical use due to the exhaust valve. It fit, but not very comfortably. On the plus size, it didn't fog up my glasses and was fairly easy to put on once I sorted out how to adjust the straps. I didn't even have to take off my glasses to put it on. However, it just felt too narrow on my face, crowding my mouth and cheeks, and pinched my nose a bit.I decided to try out the medium/large and ordered it. It fit perfectly and was far more comfortable. It was also easier to breathe and talk in, so easy, in fact, I had to check to make sure there were filters in it (they were) and the check valves were working properly (they were). Again, it was easy to put on, I didn't have to remove my glasses to do so, and my glasses do not fog up. This one is a keeper and I'm going to get a second one in this size so I can keep one in my truck and another one in the house. Obviously, this mask will be ideal for protection from dust when cleaning the house or working with wood and metal.I'm wearing a conventional pleated surgical mask positioned over the respirator's exhaust valve so I won't be spewing any potential viruses on other people. It also covers the respirator's filter intakes so that may give me a slight added bit of protection. The sizing chart needs work. My face was well within the small/medium range according to the chart yet the mask was still too small. I can't return the mask , especially since I had worn it several times but I'm keeping the filters and any other parts I can salvage so I'm not out much money. BTW, If one is going to wear this mask very much, get the five pair filter pack; they are much less expensive that way.The enormous fly in the ointment is the flimsy box these are packed in. Even worse is Amazon's inexcusable use of flimsy paper envelopes to ship them in. Fortunately, even though both boxes I received were in pretty tough shape, the masks were still in good shape.Amazon has a habit of using the cheapest packaging possible but the only time I've seen it worse than this was when I received multiple shipment of light bulbs to replace ones that arrived broken because of the repeated, ridiculously inadequate packaging. These masks should be shipped in a sturdy boxes with enough padding, such as air pillows, to protect the flimsy box the respirators come in.
