Great product
It has a great smell, look, taste and flavor. I got it as a healthy snack. It offers a great amount of protein and it is the perfect amount of fish without it being too much. It does not leak at all unless you accidentally hit the seal too hard. The size is great.

A Nutritious Delight
I recently had the pleasure of trying Wild Planet Wild Sardines in Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and I must say that it was an intriguing and delightful experience. This product not only offers a unique taste but also boasts several health benefits. As someone who values sustainability, quality, and flavor, I was thoroughly impressed with the overall package that these sardines delivered.Packaging and Sustainability:One of the first things that caught my attention was the well-designed packaging. The cans were securely sealed, preventing any leakage or damage during transit. What truly sets Wild Planet apart from other brands is their commitment to sustainable fishing practices. These sardines are sustainably caught, ensuring the preservation of marine ecosystems and minimizing the impact on the environment. This dedication to responsible sourcing adds immense value to the product.Quality and Freshness:Upon opening a can, I was met with a pleasant aroma of fresh sardines. The quality of the fish was evident as I examined the firm texture and vibrant appearance. The sardines were lightly smoked, enhancing their flavor without overpowering the natural taste. I appreciated how Wild Planet maintains the integrity of the sardines by using extra virgin olive oil, which not only adds a subtle richness but also complements the overall taste.Taste and Texture:Wild Planet sardines are truly a treat for the palate. The combination of the mild smokiness and the delicate flavor of the fish creates a harmonious blend that is both enjoyable and satisfying. The olive oil enhances the taste without being overly greasy. The texture of the sardines is firm and succulent, providing a delightful mouthfeel with every bite. Whether enjoyed on their own or incorporated into various recipes, these sardines offer versatility and an authentic seafood experience.Health Benefits and Dietary Considerations:Apart from their delectable taste, Wild Planet sardines also offer numerous health benefits. They are a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids, which promote heart health, reduce inflammation, and support brain function. As someone following a keto and paleo lifestyle, I was pleased to find that these sardines align perfectly with my dietary needs. They are gluten-free and non-GMO, making them suitable for individuals with specific dietary restrictions.Versatility in Recipes:While savoring these sardines straight out of the can is a delight in itself, their versatility shines through in a variety of recipes. I experimented with using them in salads, pasta dishes, and even sandwiches. The sardines added a unique depth of flavor and a nutritional boost to each preparation. Their compact size and easy-to-use packaging make them a convenient option for quick meals or snacks.Value for Money:Considering the high quality of the sardines, the sustainable fishing practices, and the nutritional value they provide, I find Wild Planet's product to be worth every penny. The pack of six 4.4-ounce cans ensures an ample supply that can last for multiple meals, making it a cost-effective choice in the long run. Additionally, the extended shelf life of these canned sardines allows for easy storage and reduces food waste. Conclusion:In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Wild Planet Wild Sardines in Extra Virgin Olive Oil to seafood enthusiasts and health-conscious individuals alike. From the moment I opened the can to the last bite, the experience was delightful. The sustainable sourcing, quality, taste, and health benefits make these sardines stand out from the competition. Whether you enjoy them as a quick snack or incorporate them into your favorite recipes, these sardines are sure to satisfy both your palate and your conscience.

Delicious | A good value | Not the prettiest sardines
I looooove sardines! And these are terrific. I used to get the little dainty ones from Norway, but they have gotten to be quite expensive. These Wild Planet sardines were a fantastic price on Amazon, and they taste delicious. They are not, in my opinion, pretty. They are large with black/gray scales, and their stark headlessness makes them look a little horror-movie-esque, in my opinion. My friend used to put this kind of sardine in a small glass bowl, pick them up with chopsticks, and gnaw on them--not a good look. I prefer to mash them up, sometimes with some minced onion and Dijon mustard, and make a sort of pate out of them. You will find divine-looking recipes for fried sardines of this sort on YouTube (I haven't made those yet). Even straight out of the can, they are tasty and healthy.

Yummy
My all time favorite sardines.

Not my favorite, but good when on sale
Good quality whole sardines, but a bit fishy for my taste even as a sardine lover. Cream cheese and a filet of this on a cracker makes it a perfect quick snack.

Prices fluctuates dramatically but grat value for the money if you buy at the right time
The lightly smoked Wild Planet sardines in olive oil is my favorite canned sardines brand. I tried Beach Cliff and Chicken of the Sea sardines packed in water and disliked both (COTS was the worst by far in terms of mushiness and flavorless-ness)... I've decided that packing them in water makes sardines mushy and will only buy sardines packed in oil moving forward. Both Beach Cliff and Chicken of the Sea also have less flavor than Wild Planet (probably because the latter are smoked and also not sitting in water that dilutes flavor). I also prefer that Wald Planet only has 3 large, very firm pieces as apposed to the dozen or so small mushy pieces in Beach Cliff and Chicken of the Sea. I usually eat them as is on top of a salad for mixed greens and chopped vegetables.
