Metal Boxes - Rusty Hinges

i enjoyed the first two books and was looking forward to the sequel. I wasn't disappointed. This is the best book of the three. It answered key questions I had about the piglets and gave us more insight into the Hyrocanians. I still have a lot of questions about the Hyrocanians, as i don't understand how their social structure allowed them to advance to get into space. There were no major new discoveries about the Drascos, but they were the center of the last two books, and there was a lot in this book already.There also are a lot of mysteries around Stone. He is third in line to his family's massive wealth, and appears to be a strong candidate to be the next emperor. His military accomplishments are all befitting a Captain or an Admiral, yet he is a young ensign. He's the type person some admiral would grab and place in a safer environment to teach and groom him for the future and to get brownie points with his family and the emperor.Once a gain Stone was faced against overwhelming odds and used his unconventional methods to overcome them. But the real fun of the book was the action and fight sequences. They were well done. The best I have seen in a long time.The book had enough humorous moments to keep it fun. I loved how Stone used the methane explosion in the waste processing facility to his advantage.

Seems most books available these days are trilogies, but this set is one of the best, so read them in order. I don't much like trilogies and series that go on and on, but if they do, they'd better be good and this is. The characters are well developed, and the editing errors are minor.

I'll say this much this book is very enjoyable to read and it's fun the author does a great job on writing such excellent and delicious books sounds like you want them to be made into a movie or TV series and then have them as an adventure action film really have the Young Adventure slowly growing into a hero more mature character it's so enjoyable I highly recommend it and the way you can really know the book is by reading it so if you decides to read it then sweet hope you enjoyed you guys

Decent writing, story moves along, and keeps my interest. It’s part “marines in space” and part “ doctor do little” , that works better than you think. Will be getting the next book, too many series start well and get tedious , not here.

Another good book in this series. It keeps getter better and more fun seems to be had by our team of characters saving our trouble magnet, 'trey' stone.Looking forward to the next in this series if there ever is one.

The author has done it again. Caused me to not get any sleep because I picked up his book . The characters in this story are fun and feel real even though some are aliens. It is always sad when a story reaches a point where some of the main characters move off to their own story line but then again it gives us more to read and follow. Hope to see a lot more of these characters.Arizona is starting to get hot so it should be a great time to stay inside with the AC running a write.

I really enjoyed this book from cover to cover. I think Alan Black is an excellent writer and I enjoy the stories that he has written. They have always held my interest from cover to cover. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series I am sure it will be just as good as the previous books.

i, as expected, really enjoyed this new addition to metal boxes. the characters were still strong and new dracos! and the pigets people were shockingly different then what i expected. Sissy kicked serious alien butt. and the introduction of a story that there is trouble brewing in the empire gives me hope and impatience for book 4.

Plenty of action and hard to put down. This series is developing well and I will be starting the next book straight away.

Quite clever & reasonably original. I've bought all of this series & although I purchased them "out of order" they were all very enjoyable

I have enjoyed the book look forward to the next book hopefully Alan will continue writing more for this series.
