I purchased these after reading someone else's favourable review. My previous bulbs were bluetooth only and could be fiddly to turn on when in a rush and my phone not in my pocket, plus the girlfriend struggled to connect to them on her phone. These bulbs use 2.4ghz wifi, do not require an expensive hub (unlike hue lights!) and can be controlled by voice commands using "ok google" or Alexa on any compatible device (phone, tv, speaker). They arrived quickly and were easy to install. 3 bulbs were easy to connect to using the app that you are required to install, and was pretty straight forward for anyone used to trying to connect devices to their phone, and you are walked through it via the app. The 4th bulb was more troublesome and required me to turn it on and off rapidly 5 or 6 times to get it to go into pairing mode (the other 3 went in to pairing mode immediately). One thing to note is that it takes a second or so for them to go into pairing mode, so don't turn on and off the lights like a maniac (like I initially did). Do it 5 or six times then leave it on for a few seconds to see if it goes into pairing mode, if not repeat.Once paired, my lights operated brilliantly using google home. I named the 3 bulbs in the ceiling light all the same (ie Ceiling Light) and the lamp was named "Lamp light" (suprise suprise) which makes control via google easy....ok google, turn on ceiling light, does just that...ok google, turn on lamp, ditto, and ok google, turn on lights, or turn on living room lights does all of them. It took me a while to figure out how to do this as google does not allow you to group certain sets of bulbs, but this is a great workaround (found this tip online, so thanks to whoever came up with it 👍)The lights seem as bright as the Hue lights and there is a wide variety of colours due to their RGB nature. Colours can also be controlled via "ok google" or Alexa.The brightness of the bulbs is what impressed me. Most cheaper bulbs lack the brightness of the Hue lights (some by a long way), but the brightness of these were superb. The white light is comparable to a standard 60watt bulb (colours are obviously a little dimmer, same as Hue) The dimming of the bulbs is also controllable and offers a wide dimming range (off through to 100% in 1% segments) so it should be easy to find the right colour/brightness for any event and save it for quick access at a later time.As you can probably tell, I think these bulbs in particular are excellent, and I'm quite pleased I choose these over the Phillip's Hue ones now (I've saved a pretty penny!) and I'm considering getting another 4 for my bedroom when payday rolls around again, to save me having to make my way into bed in the dark when I turn the lights out 😁

The product is amazing, especially when compared to what's out there. The white is nice and vibrant colors are awesome. The white could have different temperatures but I heard that the company is working on it for their next product so keep an eye out. The bulbs are incredibly easy to install and the app is friendly to use. Alexa and Google Assistant make the experience all the more fun. These LED lights are the future of lighting, they don't overheat or generate any heat which is nice to be on the safe side and they are really economical to run. Consider me and extremely happy customer :D

Absolutely must-have if you have Alexa or Google Home, I have both and both working well with these bulbs.Easy to install, and the mobile app is very simple to use, but it gives you plenty of possibilities if you want to customize your bulbs (colour, scenes, auto-off/on and many more). I would not recommend this bulb as main source of light as they are not very bright, but for is perfect for the night, or table light. I would buy again !

I am impressed with these lights for the price. However there are elements which I am left wanting, now they’ve settled in. Firstly, they are very easy to install and control and work well all day using our amazon echo and via the app. However here is what I’d improve, and why I’m now tempted to spend more for phillips hue.Firstly, the brightness. The white setting is bright enough to complement the daylight coming through our one window in the lounge. Perfectly balanced to daylight it does a great job at brightening the room. However once you switch to RGB the brightness dramatically falls off, in the daytime the bulbs are not effective at all.At night time the colours are good for mood lighting while watching a film, but not bright enough to read with (unless you’re using the all white setting). The image attached shows that they aren’t brighter than our tv screen, so hopefully you can see how dim they are.Secondly, the Alexa enabled functions are limited. You can ask for “lights blue” or “lights on” or “lights on colour” but they revert to the last saved colour or the colour you have chosen. If you have 4 bulbs in one room you can’t choose a preset “scene” to set 2 bulbs to blue and 2 to orange to create atmosphere (like the Phillips hue). I wanted to recreate the Phillips hue scenes like “California” which gives a great mood instantly via Alexa. But doesn't seem possible with these.To conclude, a good purchase for £32, brilliant in fact. But I’d expect within a few days to want to upgrade to a system with more customisation and light output.

Great product for the price, I mainly wanted a dimmable bulb which it does very well. Having chosen to get the rgb type, I can change from the cooler blue of the default white to a warmer tone using a less saturated orange. The default cool white is very bright with the rgb being about half as bright depending on the colour selected but still bright enough for mood lighting. I had some difficulty with the smart life app not connecting the bulb on an android phone but it connected straight away using an iPhone. Over all a great purchase.
