SnapSafe Lock Box Keyed Alike

Anyone looking at these should realize they are not the worlds best and most secure safe, but if you are looking for a good portable or travel safe this is a perfect set. I have one in each car for my concealed carry pistol and can easily move the safe to a hotel room when traveling. Since the safes are keyed a like I can use the same key no matter which vehicle I'm in and having a set of four keys means I'll have extras if I ever lose one.This safe will stop "smash and grabs" but someone more prepared with cutters or other tools will be able to breech the safe. As others have said, most car prowlers don't carry these kind of tools but I feel it's simply it's better to understand the limitations of these safes.A bonus - This safe also works great to secure a firearm when flying and works with TSA. The two-pack of keyed-alike boxes is a great purchase. I'm very pleased with the high quality of the SnapSafe XL lockboxes. They definitely live up to all of their five-star reviews. Anything less than five stars was either posted by a grump or by someone with really lousy luck who received a dud. Both of my boxes look great and operate perfectly. By the way, I've added a ring of 5/8-inch diameter poly-foam caulk-saver weatherstrip around the inside wall of the bottom half of the lockbox. It'll prevent my firearm from ever coming in contact with the metal sides of the box.

I bought these "XL" lock boxes to keep in the car in case I need to store my firearm while out and about. I have a Glock 19 gen 4 and it fits completely perfect. It comes with 2 foam layers per side (4 total), so you can remove 1 if it feels too tight to close. I keep them in since it keeps my gun and mags tightly secured and prevent the from moving at all while closed. These boxes are nice and heavy, they feel very sturdy and definitely not cheap. Obviously someone with enough time could potentially break them open, but that's not the point. The cable it comes with feels very high quality as well. Each box comes with a cable inside.The one thing that they may have been able to do better is the keys. They feel a tiny bit light and cheap. I hope they don't break while trying to open the boxes.Overall I'd highly recommend these lockboxes. Super great value for the money.

I got this set of two safe boxes, one for my house and another one to keep at my girl's house, to keep my gun out of reach of anyone, especially kids. Not only this box feels very sturdy, but my gun fits perfectly along with its TRL-6 flashlight, and three magazines with no issue. I would probably have an extra magazine in the gun and still have the other three as shown in the picture.Two things made me go for this box.1- It is made out of metal. I saw a few here in Amazon made out of plastic, supposedly very hard, but I still wouldn't trust it with a gun.2- The use of a key. For some reason I don't like electronic keypads, so having a key for me was a must, and I got it with this boxes.

Perfect for our needs. My wife carries a Ruger LCP and I carry a Ruger LC9S. Both fit in the case with room to spare. My LC9S is carried in a Remora Tuck holster and fits with the holster and clip easily. They are well constructed and it is great having the keys keyed to both boxes. So you have plenty of spares. After reading some negative comments about these type of safes being easy to get into, the fact is ALL safes can be entered easily if the crook has the know-how and tools. Unless you want to spend at the very least, $200, the construction and security of these safes are on par with any sub $200 safes. We bought these to be responsible gun owners and having a secured place for our weapons when they must be left in our vehicles which neither have trunks. They are portable and great for travelers for securing valuables in their hotel room. Can they be broke into? Yes. Can they deter in most car break-ins? Yes. Would definitely recommend to others wanting the piece of mind that they have taken measures to deter their firearms falling into the wrong hands.

Holds both my wife's Glock-21, and my Glock-19 with a spare mag for each in one lockbox, they are that big. I bought the two pack so we would both have a box in each of our vehicles, and got them in XXL so we could lock both handguns up when we travel together in one box. You will need to add some more foam to one side to keep a handgun from rattling around in the box, but once done, they are perfect. I'm surprised how well they are made for the price, solid and well built.

Extremely happy with these after months of use. I bought two (one goes under each seat) so my passenger could also safeguard his weapon, or for me to put extra ammo in, passport, wallet, etc... Sure, any cable can be cut but you would need a bolt cutter or some time. These boxes satisfy the cops and TSA so if someone steals your gun and commits a crime, you are not liable! Don't be a jackass and leave your weapon in the glovebox or hidden in your car! I easily removed the included foam on one side and put in a thicker piece, just to make sure my gun is held extra securely while 4x4ing, but 99% of the time, my gun is on me anyway.

Does exactly what it should do. Sturdy and well made. Most burglars are in a hurry and this will cause them to spend more time than they want. Great for home and car. Just wrap the cable around the seat frame post and slide it under the seat or floor mat. Much better than depending wholly on the car door locks alone. It won't stop burglars with professional tools, but it will stop the smash and grabs and keep children away. Absolutely perfect for CHL holders who encounter a 30.06 sign and need to leave their weapon behind temporarily in the car.Amazon agent took charge and immediately fixed a slow shipping problem and because of that excellent service, I will likely get Prime now.
