TAMIYA74111 Fine Craft Handsaw with Handle

The saws are great on this, it does a fantastic job as it's intended! But it really shines when using it for hobby knife blades! It holds the blades really well and hasn't had any issues like other hobby knife handles i've used in the past!

Had a hard time finding something like this. It is perfect for small cuts that can’t be made accurately, or safely, with a smooth blade (Xacto type). I’m modifying an amt naboo fighter to resemble the one on The Mandalorian. It is working great. The tip in the QA section here that says it works best as a pull saw was right on the money. Don’t force it or put too much pressure on it, let it do the work. A great little saw everyone needs in their kitbashing toolbox. UPDATE: I’ve made something like 18 cuts now with this saw and it is still sharp and working great. I am confident that if you use this saw for what it is intended for, you will be happy with it.

I like to build scale model cars. I was using an Xacto knife for all of my cutting jobs but sometimes it just wasn't enough. I needed a saw, but everything I already had was just too big. Then I found the Tamiya Handsaw with Handle. Absolutely perfect! The right size to get into small, tight areas and only takes a couple of strokes to saw through any styrene. Great product.

Useful Item And Good Quality

Great little saw, about the size of an exacto utility knife. Sawed through about 3/8” wooden. Needed to cut out a window on one side of a small box. All saws to big to fit, blades too course or unable to cut wood. Used as directed, (don’t force, let the teeth do the work) this little saw cut through with a nice, fine finish. Came with a little sleeve to store the two blades. A great value.

I use this for cutting through resin or plastic 40k miniatures when modding or kitbashing. Works great! I love the two different sizes so I can have a sturdier blade for thick pieces and a narrow blade for sawing in tight spaces.

I bought a hard shell case for my Nintendo switch but found that my bluetooth adapter would no longer hold its position after I applied the shell case. I need a tool to cut the hard plastic shell without damaging it or making it ugly. This handy craft tool helped me finish my job perfectly and I am so satisfied with the result. These craft saws are very sharp and sturdy (for small and soft objects). Strongly recommend.

This saw is reasonably priced and appears to be of good quality, except that the blades cut more slowly than I would expect. If you are using this for miniature work requiring very small cuts then that should be no problem, but the saw is agonizingly slow even for cuts of 1/2 to 1 inch.
