Absolutely Great Amazon Merchant Who Goes Out Of The Way In Order To Help The Customer, Top-Notch Merchant, The Item Is A Most Excellent Knife 🗡️ This Knife is Amazing, There Not As Beefy As They Used To Be, My Son Has My Old One That My Father Gave Me , & It Was Considerably Thicker All The Way Around, But It's Still A Exstreamly Sturdy Knife & Very Much Worth The Exstreamly Incredible Price! It's A Handsome Knife! The Blade Is Mega Sharp And It is Very Well Put Together As Well As Balanced, The Workmanship Is Great. The Sheath Is Beautifully Heavy Duty Dark Leather! Great knife for a low price. Very sharp. Durable blade. Cool classic style.
This knife is made of a tougher kind of stainless steel. Retains a sharp edge. Looks expensive. Durable. The sheath looks cool. Just be careful not to bruise by carelessly inserting the knife in it. Sheath needs TLC to make it look good longer. Classic style hunting knife. Good for cutting meat. I actually use it even in the kitchen. I was supposed to return this because i bought it by impulse. I usually buy stuff i dont really need but when i saw the quality, i kept the knife.

Brings me back...
This knife brings me back to my youth. My uncle would take me to the military surplus store when I was 7, at that age I wanted the Frost Cutlery bowie, or the Schrade with the pseudo stag. This was a time of simplicity and blissful ignorance, I had no idea these knives were mediocre. This knife is decent for the price. After having it for a year and with extensive use, I can confidently say that this knife is reliable up to a point. It is not an all-purpose knife. It does perform (surprisingly) well as a skinner. However, there are no bones about, the blade is not made from the best quality steel. So the performance is limited to the amount of honing one takes to the blade. It does not keep an edge very well and the process of re-sharpening can be somewhat mundane. The guard is very decent, I love the striker portion suited for lighting a match. The handle is what makes this knife great. It makes one feel like a young child again. It's comical, and maybe extremely hilarious but it's also wonderful in a very quirky way. I love the pommel, the brass takes a beating and ties the knife together. When it comes to the sheath...well it looks cool, it feels heavy and strong, but it's actually rather poorly manufactured in my opinion. The stitching is machined, which is not uncommon, but it's very poor. They needed to compensate for the welts on each side. Mine came apart rather quickly. I love the old west look, but my biggest complaint is the stitching. So if you want a bit of practicality, amusement and a flood of childhood memories...consider it.

Big and clunky
It’s not a bad daily knife if you’re outside working or camping but the handle feels clumsy and clunky. Not a great handle like a kabar

Excellent knife
Schrade has been making this knife for decades. My grandfather gave me this model of knife over 20 years ago and I recently had to retire it. I went looking and couldn't believe it! Same blade, handle, sheath, with additional pouch for sharpening stone. This knife is excellent for skinning large game animals and the blade seems to hold its edge longer than other hunting knives I've known. Excellent knife, especially for the price.

Quality
This knife is so good for the money I bought a second one. Sharpening is easy and stays sharp as any I’ve used.

Wow I'm actually impressed..
I read a lot of negative reviews on this knife, but figured for 22 bucks shipped I would give it a shot.. This knife is just as good of quality as the old USA made pro hunter, it's solid, has a wicked edge and has a rat tail tang. The brass is perfect and it feels like it will hold up for years to come, ignore the negative reviews and get yourself one! Update: I ran this knife through a lansky professional 4 step sharpener and I put a wicked edge on it, it really sharpens up nice and you can fix up the factory grind nice to make it look a lot prettier.
