This book is has a male lead that is so bad I couldn't finish the book. Possible spoilers
I really didn't like this book because Coop, town sherriff, is a terrible human being.I don't have a problem with the town disliking the sisters because that's traditional in the supernatural romance genre, but the lead is one of the worst male leads I've ever read.Summer is a veterinarian that specializes in therapy for animals that have been abused, large and small. Her chimpanzee and elephant escape on occasion and cause trouble for her neighbor, Sheriff Coop. Now, Summer fell in love with Sheriff Coop when she was a child and had a mad crush on him as a teenager. To stop her daydreams about them ending up together, he asks her to prom, treats her badly and deliberately gets caught making out with another girl. Okay, he was a kid, right, now he's a grown man. So after he has a couple of bad experiences with the elephant (He walks into his swimming pool.) and chimpanzee (He postured and broke a window with a bat, but didn't injure anyone.) Instead of talking to Summer and trying to figure out a solution, he calls a town meeting to try take her animals from her and her sisters care. This does not work, but the town compromises that she has to build better security or lose her animals. He then starts "helping" on the farm to try to figure out a way to get her shut down all while flirting with her and trying to start a relationship, despite the fact that she had evidence that Morty (the monkey) had made clear improvements on her farm, never actually hurt a human and treated her as a mother. He's fine with trying to flirt with her and tries to get her to be with him, but he still thinks he knows best and he still wants to keep her from keeping her wilder animals. When he finds out she has kleptomaniac cats (through no fault of her own.) and they stole his wallet, he immediately accuses her of trying to use them to rob the town. And then, then he finds out they are witches and boy, does that go well. He and his brother, who eventually communicated the truth about them being witches. (It was a convoluted ban on him speaking the truth out loud cause he found out from her Summer's sister, his ex) They head over to their house, he nearly shoots her sister, aims for Morty and ACTUALLY shoots Summer as she's protecting Morty. Her sisters get her healed and after she awakes a week later, he gives her a month to leave town as she and her sisters are a danger to the rest of the non magic community after barely apologizing for shooting her. This is not even the HALFWAY point of the book and we then find out that not only did he deliberately break her heart as a teenager, he also flirted with her to prevent her from moving on with anyone else on multiple occasions in their youth, you know the thing he is actively doing now. You'd think after almost murdering her he'd treat her a little better but Summer tries to leave to start fresh, in case you hadn't noticed a pattern here, he comes back to try and start a relationship AGAIN, and continues to do the crap during the rest of the book.He is terrible, y'all. And I would normally act like Summer was dumb, but she genuinely tries to move on without him each time and while I know it is stupid, I can see how she thinks it isn't because her whole family tries to get them back together because of the idea that Thorne witches only love one AND THEN WE FIND OUT THAT'S NOT TRUE EITHER!Don't buy this book. Please, for my sake don't buy into this toxic book with its toxic relationship. It's not terribly written, but the relationship is such trash, don't put yourself or me through that, because I will hurt with you. .

Not terrible . . .
. . . but geared more toward teenagers, I think. There is just too much going on, like the author is throwing everything she can think of at the reader in order to grab their attention. It makes for an overly frenetic storyline. The "adults" in the story act like teenagers. There is no subtlety or maturity here. The covers give you the impression that it is a more in depth book. I was really disappointed at the level of storytelling. Amanda M Lee, she ain't (but then, who is?).

I would like to give it zero stars.
I would like to give this book zero stars. The writing was very sophomoric and parts of the book verged on soft porn. It read like it was written by an adolescent male.

Weak heroin, even weaker writing
I can't stand this book. I listened to half and I am tired of cringing through it. What self respecting author uses the phrase "Are we playing hide the salami?" And it didn't stop there. It also gave us a weak heroin and her even weaker sister's....an abusive love interest and no real plot except the love tangle. Spoilers start now (but believe me it does nothing but save you time) I was actually when she actually told him off and then I realized he had already humiliated her, stopped her from ever moving on, belittled her in front of others, tried to kill her animals...and oh yeah SHOT her...and she doesn't even tell him off until he tries forcing her out of the town. I was looking forward to an awesome series of bad ass witches who got shit done. How do I return this flaming p.o.s. ???

Not Bad, but Not Good
There are some good, creative elements. The prose is adequate if not good. Both however, are eclipsed by an uninspired plot. The on-again-off-again romance is the prime driver for three quarters of the story. Which is not only an odd way to portray adult characters in their late 20s and early 30s, but is also not particularly interesting to read.

Amazing!!!!
Summer Magic is a thing of beauty!!!! I'm a paranormal junkie so this book caught me from the first page.Summer Thorne has her own Sanctuary for unwanted animals, and she takes them all, even an elephant named Eddie. Eddie loves pools and the neighbors mares. And a chimpanzee named Morty who happens to suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder. But Summer is so much more than a Veterinarian she and her three sisters are witch's.Cooper Carlyle is the town's Sheriff and Summers neighbor. These two people have had a love hate relationship for as long as they can remember. Coop has no idea what Summer is. But when he finds out all hell breaks loose.Summer and Coop learn so much about their family's. Summer adjust well, Copper not so much. But love can be a very powerful thing, especially if you are meant for each other.Summer Magic, has an incredible storyline and the characters include Summer's sister's and Cooper's brother, cousin and neice and many more. They all play a very essential part in this series.Summer Magic is my new favorite book and the series is going to be amazing. T.M. Cromer really set the scene with this book and her characters. I totally lost myself in the book. Amazing!

Witches,warlocks..oh boy !!
If there were 10 stars for reviews, this would be one that deserved it !!!! I loved this book. I love fun paranormal stories. This one has it all. I think what I love the most about this story is the "snarkiness" between all of the characters , even the ones that come in to towards the end!!! I actually sneezed while writing this and immediately looked for mice. Lol (you'll have to read the book to appreciate that!!!) There are many surprises and secrets that come to light. I love how the relationships start and evolve throughout the story. The ending leaves you saying "what the heck?" and certainly wanting more! This author has outdone herself with her creative writing !!!!

Summer Magic
I have had this book in my "to read" pile for a while. I wanted something light and easy to read over a lazy weekend. I had absolutely nothing to do and the weather was sunny and warm. Perfect..........Thank goodness i had nothing to do because once i started reading this book i was hooked and i just could not put it down. It really is light and easy reading.I assumed this book was going to be a bit of a predictable cheesy fantasy love story.....and to a point it was, BUT, it was also much more. There were a few interesting surprises that make you start to pay more attention and there were some real laugh out loud moments. The characters are interesting and likable, even the "baddies" I actually found this book just delightful. There are quite a few in the series but this story is a stand-alone and ends so you won't feel cheated when you get to the end. You are left wanting more and i definitely want to read more.If you want a well written, fun fantasy, about some sassy witches, a humorous "sort of" love story that has some surprising twists? You will love this. I did.

The sneezing and Saul are terrific,
A wonderful find. Reminds me of the works of Nora Roberts and Jayne Ann Krentz. The sisters are from a witchy heritage. Each has her own gift. Summer is exceptionally gifted with animals although er ordinary magic is a bit touch and go. She has had a crush on her next door neighbour since she was 4. Unfortunately he doesn't seem to have any feelings for her. So she tries to hide her heartache from her sisters and father. As her mother died years ago. Can the two ever see eye to eye especially as her elephant seems to have a crush on one of his mares and her chimp has murderous tendencies when he feels that she is threatened? Throw in mice whenever she sneezes, his family heritage, secrets about her birth, siblings coming out of the woodwork and a mother that is still alive! A great read with fascinating characters (that includes the animals) that really bring this to life. A great read!

Good start to the series
This is all about sisterly love. Four witches, each named after the seasons and with undeniable love for each other. It's about Summer who has been crushing on Coop who is also her neighbour. He acts like he genuinely dislikes her until he discovers that he has strong underlying feelings for her. Their relationship is back and forth, but their love is genuine. He tactlessly hurts her and gets even worse when he discovers her true nature. Well, he is a in for a surprise! This books starts off very nicely, until it becomes a little convoluted with various revelations. Then it picks up again and becomes really interesting. The interactions are humorous. The animal sanctuary is brilliant. Eddie, Saul and Morty are entertaining. Even if this ends on a good note, I feel that there is more to be enlightened in the next book. Summer Magic is interesting, light and entertaining.

Magical treat.
I added this book to my kindle yesterday and took the advice at the top of the blurb. I didn't add it to the tbr pile, I started reading it straight away. I finished it this morning and it isn't a short book, the advice was right, it was a treat. Brilliant characters, and some who would definitely benefit from a good slap round the back of the head. I would love to say more about the ways the sisters support each other and how uniquely entertaining the animals are but I honestly don't want to give any spoilers. A magical "feel good" read with no cliffhanger, this is the best book I've read this month.

A fast paced magic ride of love
The first half of the book closely follows the growing relationship between Summer and Cooper. It leads the reader through the process they go through to forgive each other for past mistakes and find love. Some witchy goings on and a bunch of crazy animals just adds to the fun. The second half then seems to explode in a whirl of new characters and a magical quest. I really enjoyed the book but if you are expecting a format paranormal romance novel, you will get it and then some. Ive bought the second and third so I'm giving it full stars.
