I can't believe I am writing a review (and a glowing one at that!) of a squeaky chicken... This is my dog's absolute favorite toy. He is a 40 lb. monster chewer...he can't have stuffed toys or toys with rope or they will be completely destroyed in minutes. He generally only gets toys that are made of rubber (Kong style) or Nylabones...you know, things he can't possibly kill lol. I was searching for something for his stocking several years ago (yes, I am THAT pet mom) and came across this funny chicken at a pet store. I knew it wouldn't last long but got it anyways. To my surprise, Blue LOVED it and made it his special lovey. He carries that thing around so gently, doesn't chew it but rather squeezes it. He had his first one for years until we recently dog-sat for a friend and her pup (another monster chewer) rip the chicken open and it would no longer squeak. Poor Blue's heart was broken so I desperately searched for a new one at pet stores. I couldn't find it anywhere except here on Amazon. Boy, that two day shipping really helped...you should have seen the look on Blue's face when his new chicken came in lol. I have never seen my old dog look so excited...it was like having a puppy again! And I have been going crazy with all the squeaking ever since... Thank you Amazon, for carrying even the weird stuff nobody else carries, like ugly plastic squeaky chickens...you make our dog's heart happy again.

While cute, this toy is not at all durable for any dog that takes to chewing on toys. The toy is hollow and the squeaker is dependent on the air passing through it to emit sound. Once a hole is chewed into the body the squeaker quits working. I purchased this thinking it would be durable and it turns out not to be. I would not purchase this again.

My 110 lb Euro Dobie LOVES his KOOKY CHICKEN! That said - this is NOT a chew toy. Now, Bear would like it to be a chew toy as well as a squeak and carry around and play catch with Mom toy and - being a sneaky dog - will wait for Mom to be otherwise occupied at which time he starts to chew. So, Mom has had to come to grips with the fact that this toy is frequently replaced as are all of his toys - after all - he's a dog and dogs chew when they have the opportunity. Is it worth it? Yes - for my boy with jaws of steel and need to chew - it is. A word of advice - if you buy this toy for a dog, be a responsible dog owner - supervise your dog's play - it's your job - not the dog's to make good decisions - they just don't know any better. Adopted 3mo lab/dalmation mix in June, friend sent this item to Otis shortly thereafter. Pup definitely a chewer and plays with his 'squeeky chicken' indoors & out. Product has been quite durable after 4 mos of daily use, no missing parts but quite a bit of the paint has come off. Red from comb or feet WILL mark inside walls (took me awhile to figure out where red marks were coming from) Ordered a backup/replacement from Amazon, 1st one arrived w/squeeker already rattling inside. Sent back for replacement. Second one was squeeking when arrived but failed within few weeks. Otis got a tear started in plastic so time to discard. Lasted about a month so decided to try the kooky mallard instead. That experience is posted in separate revue.

The chicken looks hilarious and the sound of the squeak is great. Our little dog (part Chihuahua, part Dachshund) comes running when he hears the squeak sound. The bad thing is that he nibbled off one of the little toes of the chicken which then eliminates the squeak since there is no air in the chickens belly. I filled the hole at the missing toe with Liquid Nails and used some nail polish to make the chicken squeak again. Now he gets to play with it only under supervision so he won't chew up the chicken anymore. Fun toy for dogs but if your dog loves to chew on things you'll have to watch him as you play with him.

Best dog toy in the market. I bought this one as a Christmas gift for my mom's dog. This one will be his fourth, in a 5yrs time, because he loves it so much and being the only one he will plays with, it gets beat up a bit, so I just buy him the same one every year. It's very well made and can take up a beating. Very long lasting taking into consideration that a dog will bite it get it to squeal and will rough it up playing with it. Squeal is very loud, but not annoying loud.

This is a rather hard plastic like material that was hard to squeak and immediately stimulated the urge to chew in my dog. Other softer latex toys were squeezed and tossed around as I had hoped - - this one lost BOTH feet in 15 minutes. Very disappointed And a complete waste of money.

My Boston Terrier puppy LOVES his kooky chicken! The only reasons why I'm rating it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of a few reasons. 1) The red paint rubbed off in most areas of the toy within a week, which was a bit of a mess. 2) It also stopped squeaking because he bit off one of his feet. 3) My puppy got into a habit of biting and shaking it around me, and FYI it does hurt a bit if you're hit with it. Overall I still like the toy enough to order another one for him. :-)

体は固め、足と頭の赤い部分は更に固く、噛み心地が良いようです。 噛んだ時に鳴る大き目の音も犬達には嬉しいようで、 ドッグランに持って行ったら、他の犬達も喜んで取り合っていました。 が、 我が家の雄のビーグル２歳、 オモチャは破壊して遊ぶものと思っているので、 飛び出している羽の部分を、すぐに噛みちぎってしまいました。 届いた翌日の事でした。（泣） 音もならなくなってしまいました。 この飛び出ている羽の部分が、足のように固い素材でできていれば、カンペキなのにな～！
