They fit!
After several attempts at buying support stockings, I’ve finally found some that fit! I am 5’3” and have found that most support hose are too long on me. I ordered the short length and they are perfect, and I like that I can wear sandals with these. I gave them 4 stars only because they could maybe be a little tighter. But they do help keep the swelling down in my ankle. I would buy then again.

For calf compression only
There isn't much compression for the feet and ankles. Most of the compression is in the calf, plus the band at the top squeezed too much.

Happy Camper
My experience in trying to get compression stockings that I can actually WEAR has been extremely difficult, as it is for most people who have big legs. Every store in my local area didn't have big enough sizes for women, or with an open toe, even. I tried buying a man's size and I could have used them as thigh-highs except for the fact that the foot was about twice as long as mine. When I developed lymphedema and had to have physical therapy, the therapist ordered compression stockings from JuZo. You know, people that make compression stockings ought to have to wear them for awhile. Their top cuff was so tight and so narrow that it turned into a tourniquet. There were silicone dots on the inside of the ribbing, supposedly to keep them from rolling or sliding down. The first pair I tried was a JuZo Silver. I had to pay over $80 for them. When they started making my legs throb the therapist took them back and got me JuZo Soft, two sizes bigger. I asked her to get a pair that did not have the silicone dots because I thought they kept the band from stretching to some level of comfort. I never got any adjustment in price and the therapist told me she didn't think there was a price difference when I asked. Same problem with the JuZo Soft, the ribbing was horrible, not having silicone dots didn't make any difference. The therapist suggested I stretch the bands around something when I was not wearing them and in trying that, the stitching between the cuff and the stocking broke and there were some loose loops. So now I can't even return them. I wanted stockings like I had been loaned to try out, they had a nice deep cuff and open toes and were comfortable. I was told "they don't make them anymore". Then I found Truform's regular-length XL and loved how they fit but the foot was too long. Then I saw on the box where it could be ordered in "short" XL, so I found a vendor who had them and ordered. Except for the fact that they're a little tight across the foot, I'm a happy camper. FINALLY, a decent fit! And, I might add, a decent price. I'll be a customer for life.

Doctor recommended I get these to help with swelling that happens ...
Doctor recommended I get these to help with swelling that happens when I sit all day at work. I debated on getting a size larger, since I tend to have problems when I follow sizing charts exactly. In this case, I was right to go by the chart. They're snug, but they are supposed to be. Once I've got them on, they are comfortable and definitely do the job. I got the short size, and they are still a bit too long for me, but my legs are really extremely short. The package includes instructions on how to put the socks on, and it's a good idea to follow those carefully. I've hand-washed them twice and they dry nicely when hung up overnight. Just the same, I'll probably invest in a second pair.Advice ---- Measure carefully - get someone's help if you can, and go by exactly the measurements on the sizing chart.-- Read and follow the instructions on how to put them on - it makes it MUCH easier.-- Start by wearing them just a couple of hours a day - like around the house - for a few days before going for a full 8-10 hour day.

Well made snugness
The color is better than wearing white. The no-toes is awesome...I have bought these before. These do seem stronger compression than the mmHG stated, but they did keep the edema down after 5 hours of walking around. The seem well made. I've only worn 2x so far...and put on by turning the top half down over the foot. So far, in the struggle, no fingernails went through fabric (though I'm careful enough, I have done this with other, sheerer brands).

Fit Perfectly.
I was hesitant to buy these after reading some of the reviews saying these were not shorter in length than the regular. I have a pair of regular length and these are definitely shorter. They fit perfectly. No more bunching up at the top around my calf. I am 5”3 and ordered the medium petite pair. Will buy more. They are just as comfortable and supportive as my custom Jobst pair and they cost so much less.

BEWARE, the short length (petite) is not short!
I have been wearing compression stockings for over 50yrs. I am active and healthy so I know a lot about different compression stockings. The value (if they fit you right) for the money is great but these stockings are not short as advertised (some companies call them petite). When I talk about short I mean the length between the knee and the foot/ankle. THESE ARE NOT SHORT! They will roll at the top (or sag around the ankle) making a tourniquet (think rubber band) around these areas making the edema worse. So buyer beware. I big thank you to Amazon as always for Prime free returns. Just make sure you order Prime with free returns otherwise like others who order stockings online (including me) you will be stuck with a product you cannot use.
