I’ve had a good number of this style cases over the years:Pros- definitely shockproof, good finish, I like the fact that the back is just a rubber bar instead of a logo, case has little to no interference with Bluetooth/cell signal.Cons- Not waterproof (ear speaker piece is mesh, not plastic)… I’m not a big fan of the small chrome ring around the home button, but after having several of these cases, I understand why it’s there (adhesive that holds the touch-sensitive pad in breaks down over time and then they can come loose when cleaning).All that being said, I will likely buy this exact case again if I don’t replace my phone before I manage to trash this case.

So I’ve bought 3 of these for 3 different iPhones. I have not had another case that is this durable. It has saved my phone countless times. I am in the landscaping and hardscaping business and I am always dropping my phone on rocks, running over it with wheel barrows, getting it dirty, etc. the only thing I did to modify it was, pulling out the screen protector it came with and installing one that sticks to the screen. Though it isn’t technically water resistant now, I’ve found that the case fits so tightly that water splashes do not really make it past the case. Again, landscaper here, my phone has been sprayed by sprinklers and dropped in (shallow) mud puddles and NO damage. The paint does start to chip off and I’ve lost a few screws, but it comes with extra, just keep up with those. And for those of you that are go getters, putting a little locktite on the screws prior to installation pretty much cures this issue. But don’t put too much cuz you’ll never get the screws out of you need to open the case. Just the teeniest tiniest dab you can imagine will do it.Oh, one more thing, only downside to this case, because it’s metal, I seem to lose service when traveling before others do. I live in Austin Texas and can travel between Houston, Austin, and Dallas without issue, but when I get further out, I’ll lose service and my wife won’t. I don’t really mind that as I can swap to a different case for long distance travel.

I got this case for my husband, who works on heavy construction equipment. This case is a little heavier than most, but the protection it gives as well worth it. You do have to unscrew the frame to get the phone in, and then screw it back together. I guess that’s kind of the only downside, but the protection it has provided is worth it!

I drop my phone all time it’s definitely protected. The black scratched off pretty easily but also I drop my phone so that’s on me. I’ve noticed now thats it’s summer in the car my phone does heat up and the case kinda keeps the heat in which isn’t great.The screen protector on it isn’t great since it’s not stuck to the phone. It was giving a weird glare and sometimes not as responsive. I ripped it off and put one on my phone.

Well, this case is very sturdy and I was happy to see that the price HAS gone down a bit. this is the 2nd one I bought and wish that my new phone would've fit into the old case, my phone is VERY well protected but it IS a bit on the heavy side, heavy enough that if you chop someone with it's edge you could knock the heck out of them with it, if you had to. so, it doubles as a self defense device

I really liked this case, it seemed tough and besides showing up with defective speaker channels that needed cut out. And also some imperfections in the screen protector. I thought it was worth it, until the silence button. Broke off after normal use, literally two days after I could no longer return it. 🙄

CONSNot great in the rain. Water WILL get under the face cover and mess up your touch functionsDropped it 3 BAD times and not only did the screen cover crack, but so did part of the front the frame.The crack in the screen cover produces a powder that you have to clean in the inside of the cover. So you have to dismantle the case to clean the inside of the screen cover, and that’s only a temp fix, because the crack will produce more powderPROSI can complain about my dropping the phone and the case and screen cover cracking, BUT MY PHONE STILL WORKS. The phone isn’t cracked.So long as the phone is dry or took a small splash, touch sensitivity is still ON POINT CRACK AND ALLReleasing your phone from the case really doesn’t take that much work. At least from the consumer who is mechanical minded. It’s not complicated.Bulky, somewhat fragile depending on what you do for a living, but pretty reliable.It ain’t perfect, but ain’t a piece of crap either. Saved my phone on a few occasions, but not great in the rain.
