Are these sheets soft material or stiffer like ‘main brand’

Quite soft, not stiff like board as the other brands IMHO.

I use 40c on a quicker wash ,really works cloths looks blacker and 👍

Does this have to be used with washing detergent, or can it be done without?

for a better clean detergent is preferable the black sheets keep clothes really black no fading
