Ingenius solution
I live in NYC, my bedroom is pretty small but has a sliding door out to a lovely balcony which is a gem in the heart of the city. For years, I've suffered through the hottest days with a ceiling fan because portable ac units have to be vented out. This year, I broke down and bought a portable unit - I'm handy and I researched the various ways to vent the hot air out esp since I have shutters so the kit you can buy specifically for patio doors wasn't going to fit flush and all the insulation required to keep it air-tight. Then I can across this product. For the price, I figured it was worth a try. It's easy to install (just make sure you follow instructions and clean the surface you are sticking the velcro on) with no permanent damage ...I wanted my opening on the opposite side so technically it may be on inside out but the zippers are double + on both sides so it works just fine. Is it 100% air-tight? No. - but it's close enough that I don't feel the heat coming back in. better yet, I can unzip and use my door w/o obstructions when it's not in use. I usually pin the one side open by closing it in the screen or there's enough velcro left over that you could cut a small square and use to keep flaps open when not in use. Once summer is over, I should be able to take down the white part and store for next year. In any case, it perfectly fits my needs!

Good for sliding glass doors.
I use this for my sliding glass door. It was a few inches too tall but I solved that with two folds and some packing tape near the bottom as I didn't want to put adhesive on the wood flooring. The seal is pretty much perfect. You won't get a perfect seal around the exhaust pipe, but you will everywhere else. I greatly prefer this solution to the more common plastic extendable sleeves. They are often cheaply made, unreliable, and more expensive. The zipper solution here ensures that you'll be able to fit any exhaust pipe through it, and the lighter material means you're not totally SOL if it's not a perfect fit. While it's certainly not pretty, it kept my apartment ~5 cooler and that's all I care about.

Works on Swinging Doors
The media could not be loaded. I wanted my AC to sit in front of my front door and wanted to try this out even though it says its for sliding doors. I technically have 2 doors; I have a black gated door and a normal door. So far, it’s exactly what I thought it’d be. It fit fairly well in my door and doesn’t intrude or prevent me from closing the normal door. Applying the velcro was easy too. Because of the way I applied the seal, there is a bit of slack at the bottom, but nothing I wasn’t able to fix with a bit of folding at the seam. I’ve posted a video here so you can see how I set mine up. I’m very pleased with the outcome and I think it’s a great alternative if you don’t have a window or sliding door for your portable AC. I give this 4 stars only because it wasn’t a perfect fit in my front door, but fit well enough after a little bit of folding.

Product Flaws
I bought a window version of this and it works well. The only thing I didn’t know was that the joint of the window let’s in hot air. I adhered a piece of foam to solve this. I recommend buying a little longer than you need to cover all of the window. Another drawback was that the fabric has corners for the corners of the window. I had to work with the angles since they weren’t right for my window. Not perfect but worth the money. After buying and having success with the window version I bought the sliding door version. I finished setting it up before this review. I’m confident it will keep the air out. I have a few more issues with this one. First, there’s only one zipper in the middle (where you walk through). So either you have the zipper at the top or bottom of the door frame. This was inconvenient because I wanted the exhaust opening on the side where it would be out of the way. This put the zipper at the top which I know my roommate can’t reach (I’m 6’,3”) and where I could barely reach the zipper. This led me to flipping the thing over, so the zipper is at the bottom and accessible to my roommate and guests. Kind of inconvenient to have to squat to open the zipper. I would prefer a different mechinism for this (I saw a magnetic one that seems better). The last flaw imo was that the opening to step out is TIGHT. I have to pull up the Velcro from the bottom to make it wide enough to walk through. This could be solved by removing the velcro on the a portion of the bottom, but then I feel it would not be as air tight. Maybe the designer should make the bottom magnetic as well in order to eliminate the whole squatting process. The reason I say this is because I keep my pregnant friend in mind who struggles to squat down.Lastly, it was kind of a bummer that there was absolutely no extra velcro for this product. This leaves ZERO room for errror. Luckily I had extra Velcro to finish the product. I highly recommend the manufacturer include an extra 6 inches at the least.Overall, these products serve their purpose, which is better than them not. The downfall is that the window version doesn’t take into conservation the joint gap. The sliding door version stifles the ease of accessibility of accessing the back patio/balcony.

sliding glass door
I bought a Frigidaire portable AC unit and the only place I can put the exhaust house is through my sliding glass door. I looked at alternatives and those plastic piece extensions. I came across this and it was the best alternative I could have imagined. Honestly so easy to install. It's velcro so I can remove it in the winter and put it back up in the summer with out any difficulty. They supply the zip ties to keep the zippers together and the hose in place. I was even able to added the hose where the water drains out for the humidity setting. Velcro is strong and durable not cheap at all. It's the PERFECT solution. I never submit reviews but I am so happy to have found this that I had to let everyone else know. (will add photos later)
