3/11/2020 UpdateI'm updating my review because I just bought a second one of these. Turns out, I LOVE them.Yes, they're light, and they do feel a little flimsy... Don't worry. They're not. These nets are very small, but deep. When netting small fish, I don't worry about them flipping themselves out of the net during transfer to a holding tank during cleaning.The small size of these nets make it much easier to get around and between plants without destroying my scaping when capturing my fish.These are small. I prefer the square version because my fish tanks have corners, and I like to be able to block the fish from escape, rather than have them easily dart around the edge.The telescoping handle is fantastic! I can use these in all my nano tanks, regardless of size/depth.I suggest that for longevity, after use and cleaning, fully extend the handle so it fully dries. I suspect that it will just if you don't.I will probably end up with one of these for each tank before I'm done.(Original review below.)It works as a net for my Bettas. I doubt it'll last long, but it's the right size, and has a telescoping handle, which is convenient when the fish play hard to get.

For the price, it's a good little net. It allowed me to scoop shrimps from my back filter compartments. It does bend very easily, so be gentle with it.

This has been very helpful with skimming my tanks as the net does not allow majority of the particles through and the ability to make it longer or shorter is great! No more putting my hands or arms in the tank when skimming! Also it's great for catching shrimp or other small fish.

First of all - it seems people aren't reading the dimensions of this product. It's tiny. Which is exactly what I needed for my brine shrimp, moina and shrimp fry. The net is fine enough that my shrimp fry don't get injured via getting caught. Handy for retrieving deceased fish, especially in heavily planted tanks because of its petite size. The only thing I don't like is the metal holding the net is easily bendable, when I went to close it, I bent it I was able to bend it back as it's just a thin wire but 1 or 2 more times of that I'm sure it would break. It also fits in the mouth of the jars I keep my live feeders in.

Great if you’re looking to scoop half a goldfish out of the tank. This net is approximately 1” squared. Much too small for most fish, might work on guppies, possibly fry. Works well, love that it doesn’t close in on fish/shrimp. just wish it wasn’t so expensive
