Platinum Carbon Ink Cartridges - Black

Nice, rich black ink. Perfect for my Kuretake Fountain Brush Pen TAKUJO (No.8). I find that I use my pen a bit more because I like the ink, the way it flows from the pen. The cost is low enough that I can buy more than one at a time. A great refill for my pens. I also use the bottled Carbon ink in my fountain pens, so I knew the quality of the product I was buying.

I love that I can swap out the original ink in my Preppy pen with this ink. It is totally waterproof once dry and works great for my urban sketching. It IS very, very dark black ink, trust me!

These ink cartridges are really good quality and last a long time too. They snap right into your Platinum fountain pen and you're ready to go.

Sorry, I don't "love it" inanimate objects, except my car and gun. Strange that this ink is here directly. Supposedly, it was only available in Japan after September 2016, but I'll take it. Yes, it does dry fast. Even when it still looks wet on some surfaces. I bought it to use mainly on cardboard (VERY SMOOTH) holders for coins. Pigment is archival and none of the Sharpie bleed/fade/discoloration. It is not PURE carbon or it would be dark, dark brown. But, not a problem. Going into the Platinum 3776 Century was a little tough. Although it does not screw in, twisting while inserting is necessary. My first time actually shot ink out of the nib before I learned the trick. This is a very smooth ink on bond paper (my 28# test stuff.) The Japanese M nib flows a little too well though. Time to go F or SF. I bought the four pack just to be sure before spending a huge amount on a bottle. A bottle of this ink is next!

Love using this ink in my Platinum Preppy. Unlike the default ink, the carbon ink is pigment-based, water resistant when dried, and archival.

I use these cartridges in my Platinum pen for artwork. They aren't waterproof, but for my purposes they are just fine. However, make sure you have a pen that uses these cartridges because they don't fit in other pens I have, and Platinum pens are hard to find these days!

I wanted permanent writing for legal paper sign by fountain pen. I find this brand by online search and then I read the review and buy this .This is amazing.I test this ink stability writing on a paper next day I washed the paper with water , not even a single smudge happen. Even by alcohol writing did not smudge.
