The simple things in life...
It's strange how we baulk at the price of certain things, train fares, stamps, a pint of lager and even though it's a miniscule amount of money compared to what we earn we refuse to pay because we don't think it's worth the price. And I would have put something as simple as shoelaces into that category but having bought 4 various pairs of laces from TZ I've got to say I'm seriously impressed. I've got a pair of G-Star high tops and the original laces lasted 10 wears but the TZ ones have superb quality and are much more durable.Honestly, I'm not bigging them up but for the sake of two or three quid a pair I say use them to replace all your worn laces - plus they've never come undone, they stay tied all day, cannot fault them at all and that includes the round brown ones I bought for my work shoes.I say it again, quality!

Good product
Good pair of laces. A bit stiff, not as flexible as I was hoping for but does the job.

Great Product
OK, so they're only laces but they arrived very quickly and the quality and colour match is great. If any of you buy desert boots from a certain well known UK on-line cotton products retailer and, like me, struggle to find replacement laces for some of the more esoteric colours, TZ are an excellent bet. I've only just received the laces but first impression is that they seem to be very sturdy.

Good laces
Exactly as described. Always buy laces by measuring them and you can't go wrong. I bought some from a High St shop which said they were for 5 - 6 pairs of holes. They were long enough for 3 pairs, so a waste of money.

Sizes not quite accurate
Arrived quickly. The laces look well made, make my shoes look smart again and should last. The only problem I found was the 5mm version I ordered looked quite thin when it arrived. On measuring the laces they were only 4mm wide. They do the job well enough so I can't be bothered to send them back but if it matters to you it's worth knowing.

Very Nice Laces
These are very nice laces and they're exactly what I wanted. The quality seems high, they're easy to use and they're more comfortable then the stock laces that came with my boots. I didn't realize I was ordering them from overseas when placing my order, but they arrived via airmail faster then Amazon's predicted date range. My only complaint is that the dark brown color isn't as dark as they appear on the website. Instead, they're more of a reddish-brown color, which doesn't match my boots as well. Had I realized this, I probably would have ordered them in grey or black, instead. They're also narrow, as many have said in their reviews. I was afraid they might be too narrow, but they're actually perfect. The length was also perfect and just as I expected it to be.Other then the color mishap, I'm very pleased with them.edit: I thought these were labeled as "dark brown" when I ordered them, but noticed after writing this review that they're just called "brown", so that probably explains the color issue. The pictures still look dark brown, though.

Broke on first pull.
I bought these laces as they are the exact size I needed for my Trask shoes. I relaced my shoes and on the first pull to tighten the left lace broke. I checked the eyelets and there were no sharp edges. I looked at the laces closely and they appeared to be brittle in some areas I saw some frayed areas. I would not recommend these laces. I contacted the company. We shall see how they respond. 08/14/19: UPDATE! TZ Laces refunded me for the laces promptly. So they get an extra star for customer service.

Nice, Affordable Boot Laces
Decent replacement boot laces; the "burgundy" color matched well with boots (a sort of fatigue-brown leather color) and worked with most any outfit. I also bought a pair of the bright blue laces; these were a bit much style-wise, but the quality is about the same.I suppose I'm exceptionally hard on my laces, but after tying and untying my boots every day (which puts a lot of friction and stress on the laces as they're being laced and unlaced through the topmost eyelets twice a day or more), these laces lasted about 3 months before finally snapping. Now, I'm not overly dissatisfied with only 3 months from these laces - for $9/pair, the shipping was fast, they looked great, and they did their job. But, if you're regularly undoing your laces and your boot eyelets are rough (mine are a little cheap), don't expect them to last forever.Overall, 4/5 stars. I'd have loved to get 6 months out of them, but for the price, buy a couple pairs and you'll be fine.

Works well for Clark's Desert Boots
I bought these in the 29.5" length, as replacements for the original laces on my Clark's Desert Boots (beeswax finish). For that purpose, they work pretty well. They are stiffer and wider, so they don't slide through the eyelets as well, but they also seem much sturdier and have more shape to them when tied. They are also slightly longer than I'd like them to be, but they still work fine and don't look floppy.I got the oatmeal color, which is much lighter than I expected. They definitely stand out against the dark beeswax leather of the Desert Boots, but I actually like the contrast now. I think I'd get this color again, though if you're looking for something inconspicuous, I'd get a darker brown color.

worst seller on the internet
The waxing is almost non existent, and the laces are 7-8mm instead of 5mm, which the seller says is normal: "the waxing modern processes tend now to use a softer cold process which makes them less stiff" and "The waxing process tends to make cord & flat weave measure larger than they are when new."And that I should have ordered 3mm laces if I was expecting 5mm laces...I first thought a mix up with my order but... do yourself a favor, seriously, and don't shop from this seller.

Perfect replacement for the flat waxed laces on my Red Wing 9014 Beckman boots; Don't be put off by delivery estimate
After 2 years, the flat waxed laces on my otherwise still in fantastic shape Red Wing Heritage 9014 Beckman boots finally broke. Turns out flat waxed laces were nigh-impossible to find locally (didn't try an official Red Wing store, as I don't have one close by). Also, round and/or nylon laces just would not look/feel right on these boots. With that in mind, I turned to Amazon and found the seller TZ Laces. These laces arrived and are near-identical to my originals.Don't be spooked by the "18-26 business days" estimate, I got mine in 5 days. Seller is based in the UK and I'm in the Eastern US, so your mileage may vary based on your country. I immediately ordered another pair to have on hand as backup, as I foresee myself having these boots for many years to come.

Perfect for the Chromexcel Alden Indys
I got these to replace the shoelaces on my Alden Indy Boots (Chromexcel) that fell apart after a few months. It's been almost a year now and they're still going strong. I love the contrast with the dark color of my Indys and I have gotten noticeably more compliments after install these laces. The 3/16" 5mm x 55" 140cm size is the right one for these boots.

Great laces, better than Red Wing!
This laces are absolutely incredible. They're coming from the UK (or at least for me they did) so they can take a while to arrive. Be patient! They are absolutely worth it.I bought the 55" laces to replace the ones on my Red Wing Beckmans. Red Wing laces are crap, and they kept not sending me replacements. I bought these, and they are absolutely perfect!Just the right length, nice crisp and flat, fit well into the boot, and I can pull them nice and taught without feeling like they are about to snap.I've purchased two more, one to replace the laces on my Chippewa Apaches and another to replace the laces on my Wolverine 1Ks. These will be my go-to laces from here on out, because they are fantastic for the value!

Well-made laces with robust aglets and a waxy coating that seems to prevent slippage. They fit and stay put.
My husband's old shoelaces were stretched, unraveling, and their aglets (the hard, reinforced ends) were badly frayed. They also came undone on their own and he nearly tripped several times. Time for action! After some time looking through what was offered, I decided on these. I am happy to report that unlike his old ones, these are well-made and, once tied, they stay in place. No more worries about tripping. It was bonus fun to get them in an envelope from Oxfordshire, England, shipped promptly and in good condition.Bad shoelaces are dangerous. These are exactly what we needed.

Awesome cobalt blue
My second pair of these laces. The first were not long enough, but that was my fault. I uesed them anyway for a few months. Despite the stretching, the old and undersized laces remain strong, so I'm assuming these will as well. Awesome cobalt blue. I've had people ask me how much my shoes cost just because of these laces; they seriously thought I paid a lot. The shoes were about $30 from Walmart. But these laces make them look worth at least three times that much.

Nice laces for Red Wings Beckmans
Bought these to replace the laces that came with my Red Wing Beckmans that tore. These are a little longer than the Red Wings, but still fit the boot nicely. They feel well made, so hopefully should last longer than the Red Wings which went about a year before breaking. Please note that these don't feel as waxy as the Red Wings, so while I don't know what that means water resistance-wise (I don't normally submerge my boots in water), this also means that they hold a knot much better than the originals.

Good for Red Wing Beckman boots
It's hard to find waxed boot laces, so I was happy to find these. I got these laces in 150cm/59" for my Red Wing Beckman boots. I found the original Red Wing 48" laces were too short, and the length of these is perfect. These laces are not as heavily waxed as Red Wing's, and they don't look like they will be as durable as Red Wing's. However, they are waxed enough to provide good grip while lacing up my boots. My TZ Laces are brand new, so I can't say how long they will last.

Great Common Projects Achilles Low Laces!
I bought these laces because another reviewer recommended that they're a great replacement lace for Common Projects Achilles Low Men's Sneakers. 100% agree! The 39" laces are about 1.5" longer than the stock laces that come with the CP sneakers and exactly the same width. These are waxed, so obviously a bit different in appearance than the stock laces, but in my opinion a nice upgrade. They tie nicely. I don't know what else to say, but for a die hard Common Projects fan, replacement laces are necessary and I'm thrilled to have a reliable source.

As expected
They're waxed shoe laces, nothing to complain about. They look great as replacement laces for Common Projects (or other minimal white sneakers). I would recommend sizing up for those though — the 47" ones are longer than the ones that came with my shoes, but I would go with a 55" if I were purchasing again. 47" is still too short to properly tie.
