Cutex Super Bright COB LED Sewing Machine Light W/Magnetic Mounting Base

This light is excellent: very bright, uniform, white light. I use this for my Brother domestic sewing machine. There is really no comparision to this light and the LED strip lights that get mounted under the arm of the sewing machine. This light is much brighter, much more uniform, and has a natural white color - cloth colors do not change under this light. It can also be positioned because it is on a gooseneck. Build quality seems great. It has a single on/off switch mounted on the base and a decent length cord with standard 120V plug.MOUNTING: check that you can mount this before you buy it. The base is magnetic and not designed to sit on a desktop for example. My domestic Brother machine has a plastic housing so the light cannot be mounted directly on it. But you can sit the base on any piece of metal (steel for the magnet) that is at least 2" square and now you have a desk lamp. I put mine behind the machine with the light under the arm. Works great that way.For reference, I bought the Razon (ASIN B01MRFPJS4) at the same time. Highly rated, many users. The LED light is very blue, not a fraction as bright at the Cutex, not uniform, a pain to mount, more expensive, can't be re-positioned, and the LEDs glare off the bottom of the machine - and you need a USB port. I sent it back. Sometimes head-to-head comparisions are very revealing.

This adds light exactly where I need it to make my sewing projects shine!

Works well - had minor cosmetic flaws, but functionally sound. Bought 2,one had a ‘quality guarantee’ sticker, which upon removal was just there to cover a minor molding flaw.

I’m so happy about my decision that I picked this LED light! It’s bright, neck of the light is very flexible the and magnetic is strong to hold it on my sewing machine. I also use it to read books on my desk. It stands well too. I’m giving this LED light AAA+++!!!

The light on home sewing machines are not bright enough, or in the wrong position. This little beauty is perfect. Most sewing machine are plastic I just attach, with the super strong magnet to a covered tin I use to store notions. And I can move anywhere. The goose neck is flexible enough so I can move the light to any position

I kinda put it all in the title. It is a simple magnetic flex boom light that works great. I think of them as sewing lights and this one is much improved from one I bought a few years ago, No complaints.

Replaced a similar light that popped, smoked and died. This one is MUCH brighter, holds on better, and stays/adjusts to were I put it. I will probably buy a couple more.

We have ordered one for every industrial sewing machine we have which is a total of 6 at present. They can be moved around on the machine if you are sewing or if you are doing maintenance. These will work for so many things when you need a good light.
