Lasted 6 months.
My grandson loved this bike / scooter from the first moment it arrived in May 2020 but it didn’t last. He rode it every time he saw it...outside this summer and fall, in the basement this winter, until yesterday (Jan. 9,2021) when we found it broken and don’t know how it happened. It looks like the spring inside just popped it apart. I’d love to get him another if it will last longer. He’s only 2 so he has many years to enjoy it. I tried to return it for repairs and they charge $59.99-200 to fix it plus me paying to ship it back. What a rip off. They’ll never get my business again.

Love this scooter/bike
My 3 three old absolutely loves this. She prefers the scooter to the bike. The seat on the bike mode does make her slide forward but doesn’t seem to be a problem. It was very easy to set up and easy to switch between modes. Seems sturdy. We have only used in our basement so far but it is great. Would buy again.

3 year old is scared to even try to use it.
We bought this for a birthday gift for a grandson. We thought it through before buying it, wanting something he can use and play with for several years. So far, he won't touch it. This was a gift for a 3 year old for his birthday. Suffice it to say, he is scared of it, so it isn't being touched. It seems very nicely made, and sturdy. The price was within our budget. Our grandson is fearless about most things, but this was a no go for him, at this point.

Best feature is ease to convert to scooter or trike
I have two grandchildren who are both 20 months old. One of them uses it as the scooting trike and the other likes it as a scooter to balance on or be pulled around by his parent. Because it has two ways to be used, it is up to the child or parent as to how it is used. In the case of the child who actually uses it almost like a scooter, he has two siblings, ages 9 and 7 who use their own older versions of the scooter that he has seen them use. With school and park closures this was ideal for stay at home outdoor play on their outdoor patio.

THREE broken bikes in less than a year.
UPDATE: Almost exactly a year to the date, another bike broke, which now makes a total of THREE BROKEN BIKES. Like the other two bikes it just broke for no reason. One moment my kid was riding the bike, the next she was sitting on the ground because the spring broke. We never ever switch her bike to scooter, knowing that there's a chance it could upset the temperamental spring. Awful awful awful. You're better off buying either a bike or scooter because at least they would work. I will never purchase anything from this company again. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Ordered two of these in April 2020 for my twins' birthday. Less than a week later, having only been ridden once for a test drive, it broke - spring issue just like in all the reviews. I contacted customer service asking if there was some sort of replacement part or way to fix the bike and a week or so later they replied with a canned answer/email. Essentially fill out the RMA, we'll be in touch. There was no level of customer care or explanation on the return process, or even a way to simply fix this on our own with a new part. Surely they must be aware, based on all the negative Amazon reviews, that this is an issue. Not only did we have to tell our kids that they couldn't play with their birthday gift, but we had to tell one that their bike was broken. Since the bike broke almost immediately, we returned it via Amazon as it was clearly a faulty item. Six months later, another bike has broken - same spring area. Because we knew of the spring issue previously, we rarely, if ever, convert the bike from bike to scooter, and we have treated them with kid gloves. Still, it broke, and it broke while my kid was casually riding it, sending him to the ground. After our previous encounter with customer service and after reading what they charge to repair their bike, we'll probably cross our fingers and attempt to fix the bike ourselves. One broken bike I could chalk up to an fluke, but two in less than a year? And both with the same issue? That's a major design flaw that needs to be addressed. I expect many of these bikes get tossed once they break - either by the owners or by the company - and that also doesn't sit well with me, especially if it's a part that can simply be replaced. Swagtron should recall the bikes. Poor craftsmanship, poor customer service, and dangerous. Great idea, but I would never buy these bikes again, nor would I ever recommend them unless they resolve the above issues.

great bike, needs better assembly instructions
i love that this bike/scooter converts. it won’t be a one summer toy. on the directions it does not tell you to use both alan wrenches you hold one bolt sturdy and loosen the other one to change the wheels in the back. i tried for a long time thinking it was defective. then i thought oh use both. maybe that should be intuitive but they should mention that in the directions for those that aren’t super handy. we get so many complements on the bike when he’s out and about on it.

Quality isn’t as good as I thought it’d be.
My son only used the 3 wheel bike style. It is a cute bike but unfortunately what they don't show or tell you is that in order to change the back wheels, you need to take out or put back this little piece to make it work. So be prepared to carry a screwdriver around. Also, after only a couple uses, the silicone coverings on the edge of the handlebars are ripped. It is made thinly. A great concept though.

Our Toddler Loves His New Scooter!
I always think about how long our baby (and now toddler) will use something before purchasing it. I absolutely love that this is a 4-in-1 scooter and bike. Our little guy is 21 months, so we have it in 3-wheel scooter mode. He's tall for his age, but when we flip it to trike mode, he's not quite tall enough yet, which is fine because this is recommended for ages 2-5. He'll grow into the bike mode in the next 3-6 months. We bought the Joovy toddler helmet for him to wear with this for safety, and luckily our tot doesn't mind wearing it, in fact he points to his head and says "this", letting us know he wants his helmet on and wants to go play on his scooter :) Overall, easy to put together and a great value for the money!
