Exceptional center channel speaker, especially at the price point
I consider myself pretty knowledgeable when it comes to high fidelity audio and I was absolutely blown away at the quality of this little speaker.Bought this as a center channel for an existing system that had definitive technology in wall left, right, and rear surround speakers.I was initially concerned that it wouldn’t have the same depth of sound but wow was I wrong. It balances out with the surrounding speakers perfectly and the dialogue comes through crystal clear!Definitely don’t underestimate this speaker and if you’re on the fence, just get it. It’s absolutely one of the best at this price point

Great clarity with no hollow sound
Bought the Yamaha Center speaker and had to return it. Very hollow and did not have the type of clarity that I wanted. Replaced it with this center speaker and Polk audio came through!. Great purchase for Klipsch system that had a small center speaker.

Little Beast
Perfect center channel speaker for 3.1 bedroom setup, but I think this could hold it's own in a 7.1 HT as well. It's small, powerful, and stylish! Looks amazing with the grille on or off. Very clean dimensional sound with no muddle at all. I'm starting to wonder if this setup can take down my 7.1 THX Onkyo home theatre... it's that good in here now!I've got mine paired with a couple of Pioneer SP-BS-21s and a vintage JVC SP-PW800 sub, powered by a killer 1980s Pioneer XSX504S. My analog connection to FIOS is set to Laser Disc input, that's how old the receiver is!I just replaced a long outdated yet adequate KLH center channel speaker. Fresh out of the box I'm dishing out some Palladium/ESPN/AXS on the HD networks just to get an idea how rocked out I can get it in here. So far, I am more than happy with this little beast. Vocal clarity improvement - nice lows - really good highs - mids will warm over time I believe, but right now I have about 15 minutes of driver burn in and I'm still happy. Zero clipping at 3 o'clock and it is beyond loud at that level... Hook yourself up! You know you can pay more, of course you can! BUT WHY??? Save some cash and get this!!! (4 stars but it really deserves 4.5)

Great Speaker!
Sounds really nice! I don't need the most expensive speakers, I just want a good sound and this is it! The size is nice, not too big at all.

Works great, no complaints!!
A solid center speaker that does the job right out of the box. Polk items can go really high end, especially when buying a complete system, but individually you can build your system on a budget without breaking the bank.It does exactly what it is supposed to do with very little fanfare or bells and whistles, and looks great with the grill on, or off. I have them off to match my components. The sound is solid, and naturally it is not made to carry the entire weight of the sound system, but to round it out as a team player. It is solidly built, looks great, and looks nice in front of my 50 inch Samsung. Do not expect the sound from this center speaker to blow you away, but it does the job nicely for what its designed for at a good price. One caveat if you are not hanging it on the wall, the speaker dips a little low when resting it in front of your TV, so it looks off with a slanted downward look. It drove me nuts, so you will have to undertake your own solution since they did not supply any small supports for those thinking of resting in on an entertainment center. Buy some basic sticky furniture pads, or use any other item under the front corners that can stabilize the speaker and make it stand more upright. Once I did this, the look improved dramatically and the sound is going where it should, vs bouncing downwards away from you.A great buy and I am pleased all and all. Polk always comes through with solid products that work like a charm.

Beautiful speaker - but...
I personally really like Polk speakers - and I also own a pair of Monitor 70s which really sound awesome (especially for the price). That being said - as most already know, the center channel is one of your most important speakers in a surround sound/home theater setup.Unfortunately, like most people, I have a limited amount of space in my TV stand - so finding a center channel that has a smaller profile AND great sound has been a challenge.Enter this nice-looking Polk center channel. This speaker was exactly what I was looking for - low profile, typical high quality Polk build, attractive design and (hopefully) balanced, yet powerful sound. So, aesthetically, as I mentioned - this is one of the nicer looking center channel speakers out there with no bulkiness.Without the grill it looks really slick, and with the grill on it disappears into your home decor - really nice. What I have found with extended use - is unfortunately, at slightly higher volumes, and with certain TV and movie sound mixes - the sounds become a bit distorted at certain pitches and it has gotten a bit irritating. Now mind you - this center channel is not unique in this issue - my previous Energy Take Classic center channel was having the same issue with mostly the same shows (The Boys on Amazon Prime is one example). That being said - for most other applications, this has worked pretty flawlessly.I've had no similar issues when listening to music - and MOST TV shows sound great.Dialog comes through nice and clear - and paired with my Polk Monitor 70s and Polk PSW10 subwoofer - the sound field is excellent for the most part with those exceptions.I'm likely going to make some room in my TV stand and swap with the Polk CS1 Series ii center channel to better match my speakers - but that's a BIG speaker compared to this one.Bottom line - if you're looking for an attractive, easy to fit center channel that has good (but not necessarily fantastic) sound for most every day use - this is a really good and very affordable option. It will fit in MOST setups, and I'm a fan of any speaker connections that allow for banana clips (I hate spring clips) - so the connections are great. If you like to blast movies or have a larger room and you sit further away from the speaker and need to turn up the volume - it may have some distortion issues.Overall - great space efficient design, sleek modern look, great price and decent but not exceptional sound.Think about your room setup, budget and sound needs - as I said, this will be more than enough for most people for movies and music at low to mid sound levels.Definitely worth a look.
