Are there any versions available without the quote on the front? just solid black with gold pages?

Currently this notebook only has this version. The black cover has the golden quote on the front. Its pages are blank, white paper with gold edges.

Yes, its paper is thick enough to satisfy the writing and drawing of most highlighters. The total thickness of this notebook is about 1.5 inches, 208 sheets of paper, you can roughly estimate the thickness of the paper. Its paper is thicker and fits most pens.

Can you get this book with lines?

No...only blank pages. And I don't recommend the book as it fell apart before I even used it.

No lines, I have bought two and like these blank books very much. they are perfect to write in even tho have no lines.
