I am so impressed with how easy these are to use and how well they work. By using threaded inserts, I can make relatively strong components that come apart for packing very easily. I pre-drilled using a 5/16 (or 9mm) bit, plunging deep enough to accommodate any excess length of the 1/4 bolt I want to use. Installation is done with a 6mm hex key -- be careful not to cinch it down too much - you can break these.

Great thread inserts for my use. I used them in 1/2" MDF and they work perfectly. Easy install and strong hold.

Would have been fine, but it does protrude just a bit when installed correct in 3/4 product. I switched to their longer version for softwood, as it was fit inside a crib. They allow for beneath surface/ ish mount with no lip above surface. So, the backside I covered with a trim strip. Can’t complain, just wasn’t best for that job. Recommend.
