Love You When...

This is a Hallmark card in a book.Almost every page says "I love you when..." and then gives pretty descriptions of nature which are all good and flowery. If you love someone when they track mud into your house, or worse, that is not expressed in here.It's not a children's book. The vocabulary is not for children of an age that you can read a 14 page book with one sentence per page to, which is ages 2 - 5. Some examples of words:LandscapeDistinctiveRemarkableFamiliarDrenchingSizzlingThe book seems pointless to me, unless you're getting it for someone as an expensive Greeting Card.

This book had inspirational simple phrases, thoughts and ideas that are meaningful for everyone--young and old.

For friends, teens, adult children even just put out on the coffee table. Bought 2 for grandchildren!

I got this book as a gift for my father (who loves rocks) but I looked through it before gifting it. I fell in love with it so much I bought a second copy that I can keep for myself. It's a wonderful and touching message about love and how it lasts forever, with a great way of incorporating nature.

Besides the gorgeous illustrations, this is a very beautiful and emotional book. I bought it for my two grandchildren, ages 8 and 4. When my grandson read it to me, I cried! Bought multiple copies for my daughter and my friends.

Beautifully illustrated book. Bought for my grandsons aged 3 and 6. They live in s Africa and so I'm bringing it with me when I visit. I'm sure they'll love it.

The stone pictures and heartfelt words are so beautiful it makes me teary to read. I think it would make a great baby shower gift.

This is a lovely book to read with children. It is colourful and wonderful use of real materials photos. We extended the book idea and painted our own rocks that the children had collected at the beach in the summer. We even found a few "heart" shaped rocks!

Such a beautiful and poetic book. Simple, but amazing. Reminds me of 'The Kissing Hand'. Used as a teacher gift for my son and used another copy in my own classroom.

Love this book

A great addition to my thought provoking rock books, which already includes "If You Find A Rock" by Peggy Christian (Author) and Barbara Hirsch Lember (Photographer), as well as "Everybody Needs a Rock" by Byrd Baylor and Peter Parnall. Then add in "You Be You" and "Only One You" by Linda Kranz, and you will never look at a rock or stone in the same way ever again! Made me go out and purchase a very large bag of river rocks for my children and I to explore!
