I have been wanting to get a reflector and have debated to go cheap or go expensive but in the end, I decided that as my money goes to lenses, flashes, strobe studio lights, there are priority purchases and purchases that I have to keep under budget. The reflector was under $15 and looking for similar sizes online, some charge quite a bit for it. So, the big question that you may be wondering...do you actually get what you're paying for? My answer is that for $15, this is an excellent, sturdy and also portable reflector. It comes with its own bag and there are no instructions. And if you accidentally thrash one, no problem...easier to replace because of its cheaper price than thrashing a more expensive one. But if you have put away a windshield reflector and know how to bend/fold one, then you know how to put this one away. If anything, just make sure that you get it inside without it being caught on a zipper (this doesn't just apply to this product, this can apply to jackets with zippers, CD/DVD binders, etc.). So, you get a translucent reflector, silver, gold, white and black and each reflector is its own bag. And once again, these are sturdy. I don't know about the others who gave it a negative but I haven't had any problems with them and let's say, even if I do, down the line....years later, it is less than $15. I know how some of you may be thinking...well, I love the price and it has received considerable good reviews but maybe I should buy one with a stand and reflector holder. If you have the $70 to blow on one, go for it! But I needed to keep things under budget and with the reflector going in my budget list, I will tell you that in my studio, it's being held by one of my expensive mic stands with a clamp (there are many examples on line of DYI reflector holders). Because this certain reflector is huge and a little heavy for the boom arm, I have three sandbags holding the boom arm on the other end to balance the weight, so it works perfectly. JUDGMENT CALL: For the price of this 43" reflector and the fact that it has 5-in-1, you can't really go wrong with it unless you start tearing into it. Once again, personally for me, there are other items in my studio that are priority when it comes to money...glass, multiple flashes,lights, softboxes, more stands or a full-frame camera, etc. And I needed one that doesn't break the bank and fit my budget, as well as something I can make it easy enough for DYI setup and for less than $15 and the fact that it is 43" and well-constructed and most of all...it works. Overall, Neewer's 43" 110 cm multi-disc reflector for me... it's perfect. For others, if you are on a budget...this is the one to get!

As a content creator, this Neewer light reflector is incredibly useful. It can literally be the difference between a video that looks “okay” and one that looks really professional. By reflecting light, it helps illuminate angles of your face outdoors that would otherwise be impossible to light properly. It’s also great in very sunny conditions, since it helps soften the light and prevents your image from looking overexposed or washed out. I love the size, it’s compact enough to carry easily, but once opened, it’s large enough for almost any project you need it for. The build quality feels solid and professional, and having five different colors in one reflector makes it extremely versatile. If you’re a content creator, this is one of those tools you should definitely have in your kit.

I wish I saw these sooner because it really has made a difference in the quality of my photos. I am a local photographer and will sometimes get folks who want family photos of them and sometimes they want it at specific locations. Most of the time my soft boxes do not make the photo look better, so I needed some reflectors to fill in those shadows. I have always trusted NEEWER to provide the best quality photography products for the best prices. This is the best bundle of reflectors as they came in 5 different options. I personally love the golden one because it brings some warm light into the scene. The discs are collapsible and can be easily portable with the provided bag. I always will recommend NEEWER!

I have edited this review to keep up with my new review format, but the sentiments haven't changed! CONSTRUCTION Let's start with this: Is this of the same quality as a pro reflector? No. I am already feeling the rim starting to bend in places and ways it shouldn't, but I do not anticipate it breaking any time soon. The panels themselves are made of good quality material, and so far the case has withstood many travels! As one commenter helpfully pointed out, "the reflector folds up into a 16" diameter carrying case that is roughly 3.5" (but can be compressed to about one half that)". FUNCTION Does this thing work like it should? Absolutely. As I mentioned it is made of good materials and has held up very well so far. I am a pro photographer, but never above a good deal - I am a big supporter of "the little guy". The versatility of this little reflector is excellent - you can use it for almost any situation, and I find myself switching from silver to gold to translucent within the same shoot, because we all know that changing an angle outdoors can completely change your lighting! Works quite nicely as a shoot-through if you have an assistant to hold it! OVERALL Would I buy this again? Absolutely. The sheer quality of this reflector at the price paid, makes the "best bang for your buck" cliché almost bearable! Out of all of my photog friends, not one can pick this out as a budget reflector, and several have been converted. It has stood up to the test of time (see updates below), and that is all I can ask or expect. Cheap. Works. Recommended. **EDIT** Almost a year, and PLENTY of shoots later, and this great piece of equipment is still going strong!!! I use this thing on most out door shoots which don't require off camera flash, and for portraits you can't go wrong! Highly recommended still! You can either order from Papa John's this week or get an excellent Reflector...your choice. **EDIT 2** It has now been 23 months, and the only issue I have had is some loose threads from the hanging loop. I cut them off, burned them with a lighter to stop any future deterioration and so far I have had no issues. My initial worries about it bending in the wrong places have been totally wiped out - this thing is still going strong. Highly recommended!

Besides practice, this will do more for your photographic results, per dollar spent, than anything else I've ever purchased. Seriously, if you make pictures of people and don't have at least one of these in your bag 24/7, shame on you. There are so many things you can do, and SO MANY things you can do BETTER with these than without that when I'm out shooting in a popular spot and see anyone taking photos of people WITHOUT a reflector, I must fight the urge to point and laugh. It's small when folded, so far it's tough as nails (had to chase it once for almost a mile and when I caught up it was still perfect), and it's cheap; come on! Nothing that works in photography is cheap. Get some 4-6 dollar clamps and some cheap stands or an old tripod (or a bike, stroller, lawn chair etc.) - or better yet - a young person who wants to learn photography to hold it in position and USE it - you'll love it. I've been shooting over 30 years and use it almost every day, indoors or out. This is the Swiss Army knife of light. It folds easily once you get the trick down (maybe 2 minutes hands on), takes nearly no room and performs 8,897,456 critical photo functions (hereinafter notated as CPF ©) for under 20 bucks. That's way, way less than a penny per CPF. As a bonus, you can fit your whole Rouge set and a little folding soft box in the bag, too! Woo-hoo! A lighting survival kit that WORKS, on a budget. A no-brainer if ever there was one. Unless you LIKE dark, sunken eyes and sharp, un-dodgeable nose and chin shadows, hair shadows, spooky upshadows and generally just poor lighting technique, in which case, please don't buy these - just continue to run your portrait ads on Craigslist and your "professional" Facebook page showing all these, ummm ... features ... of your work - I could do with a bit less competition anyway.

Price fluctuates between 22-26$ but this is a solid piece and the price isn’t crazy. It’s got the strap to hang it off a hook or nail etc but I bought a cheap clamp for my stand to hold it. The 110cm is surprisingly BIG. I probably could’ve done with the 80cm but the price was $3 difference at the time so I thought it made sense to get more bang for the buck. If you use it within expectations as a “low prosumer” level and not quite high end pro . This should last you. I have other neewer equip going strong for almost 4yrs now with minimal tear. I’d 100% recommend if you are a beginner photographer/short film or only got one light and need lighting on the other side of subject etc.

So this was so cheap I was a little worried about it, but, I was buying it for one certain project and if it worked, great, if not I was out very little. Well, it arrived from amazon in about a week (that is a long time for them but well with in the time it said it would and in plenty of time for me). I was on my way out the door when it came I was so excited to see if it was going to work, and it looked so small I was worried, that I opened it there on the porch. Well it surpassed my expectations as to size, once unfolded, and quality. I used it for the project I had in mind the very next day and I was so pleased with the outcome as were the people that I was taking the photos for. worked great with natural sunlight and with the flash bounced off it. Initially I was only interested in the gold side for the effect I wanted but I used the silver as well and I have used both sides several times over this first weekend. I had no "zipper" trouble and the quality is fine for the price if you take care of this it will last a while, if you beat it up it wont but your not out much. I am planning on getting a second for some ideas I am having. If you have reasonable expectations of the product for the price and for the outcome of your shots you will be happy with this. My only problem is getting it back into the pack I found this little video on youtub that shows how, there were several (I must not be the only one who couldn't figure it out) I just picked this one cause it was easy and short don't know who made it and and am not trying to take credit at all it wasn't me but I appreciated it and just thought I would include it for others to see. I am getting into photography and decided I needed some reflectors to compliment my kit. I decided to go with this product. It arrived in a lengthy box, well wrapped up. This went to my skybox in Florida and came to me in Trinidad and Tobago. The box was opened by customs or whomever checked it out. As for the actual plastic around the case and product was untouched. Which was great. Popped it open and unzipped the case, the case itself is really nice and handy. The entire item was lighter than I expected. I was expecting cheap quality and a few loose string sof the fabric but it's solid. No tears, rips, nothing. Very good condition. I haven't been able to test it just yet. Just did a quick check around me with the light. Today was a terrible day to try it out as it's very dark (cloudy) and raining. When it brightens up I will get to test it more. So far no complaints about the quality and make. It does flip inside out to produce the other sides of colours and reflections which is handy. Just make sure if your in a breezy location you have a good grip or assistant to help you. It's a nice snug fit when flipping it to the other sides. It holds it's own. I like it so far. Will update when I used it more. I never ever used a reflector before. If you open it out and have trouble collasping it and putting it back into it's case just go to the youtube site there are a few demonstrations on how to collapse reflectors.
