The TXB0104 Breakout is a bidirectional voltage level translator that operates between 1.2V to 3.6V on the A Port and 1.65V to 5.5V on the B Port, featuring VCC isolation for enhanced safety and low power consumption of just 5-μA max ICC.

There are issues
Many comments are about noise levels on this board. It is true this board has serious issues.The issue is more with the chip and the architecture as a whole. The TXB0104 is really meant to drive low capacitance loads. Once we, as the user, add some pins, add cables or wires and so forth to get down to the target, we have messed up with the electronic environment this chip is meant to work with.What happens is there are one-shots that set up the direction of the drivers and with these high capacitance, long lines and cables, it messes the drivers and they oscillate, one direction to the other. That is why the noise has such a high amplitude and frequency.One thing that is unacceptable, regardless of the design and the chip mentioned above, was the packaging. This kind of product should be packages in an ESD bag at the minimum. This product was shipped in an industrial zip lock bag within the Amazon bag. - Awful ESD environment.

Excellent board
Board has an optional output enable pin which can be used by removing a solder jumper on the top of the board. Extremely useful for some circuits.

Does not Work with Nano Every
Does not work with Nano Every 5v->3.3v. Not sure what is wrong I wish there are more video/tutorial on how to use this board. The chip should function looking at the spec sheet.

No other voltages than 3.3<-->5
Works well for 3.3V to 5V, but even though it says it will work with 2.8V to 3.3V, it won't do that.

Terrible!I tried to use this device to convert a 1V8 UART to a 5V. The device added noise to the signal, making it absolutely useless! I added some pictures for proof. The first image shows the source UART signal when the device was not connected to the TXB0104. The second image shows the same source signal (yellow) after the source device was connected to the TXB0104. The blue output signal shows +/-1.5V noise.

Noisy output makes it useless
If you convert from 3.3 v to 5v pulse, the output has a ripple on the top of the square wave. It interferes with my IRQ reading on the PIC>Not useable for me, I say stay away, but I know it might work if you dont have sensitive circuits,

SPI flash memory stepdown
This board worked perfectly to allow me to communicate with a I2C and SPI flash/eprom memory chips, most of which are 3.3V instead of the 5V that the aruduino boards normally are. Was able to build my own flashing jig and copy, program, and erase the chips easily. Excellent product.

Didn't work
I bought this to convert a serial connection between an Arduino and a Raspberry Pi. It never worked for me, it doesn't seem to pass the signals I send to it.
