it worked like a charmI brought some handmade lamps from Rumania many years ago, but I could not get the european bulbs that were needed. An electrician pointed those here out to me and I ordered the same day.Could not be happier, works fantastic.

OMG! I have been trying to find European Base (EB) LED Candelabra Bulbs for more than a year. I prefer daylight, but was unable to find 4W in (EB). After doing some research on Amazon, I discovered converters from E14 (EB) to E12. Some were overpriced, but I kept on searching and found these. I was concerned that they might be too bulky, but surprisingly, they are much smaller than I expected; I am ecstatic!!! Screwed the bulbs in them, then screwed into my chandelier, and Voila!!!! Beautiful bright lights, which are dimmable!! Amazing!

I can't speak to how easily they'll be removed from the socket after 5 or 6 years of bulb changes, as the brass presses into and forms to the socket, but as of one week in, they're the perfect solution for putting my American Philips Hue candelabra bulbs into a European "fandelier" my girlfriend "simply had to have."

I'm so glad I found these. They were just what I needed after bring some UK lamps with E14 fittings to the US when I moved here 3 years ago. I was about to give up and get rid of the lamps when I couldn't find E14 bulbs anywhere then I saw these and thought I'd give them a try. They felt quite flimsy when they arrived but they do the job and fit the original bulb socket snuggly. All the bulbs work fine with them, no flickering. I would recommend fitting the bulb to the adapter before fitting the adapter to the lamp though, it makes them easier to screw in. They do add a little bit to the length of the bulb which might be an issue in tight spaces but that was not a problem for me even with a relatively small head on a desk lamp. These adaptors saved 5 lamps from going in the trash so they were well worth the few dollars they cost.

I have had to use these in several occasions when I buy antique chandeliers or wall sconces that are not US wired. The on,y problem I’ve run into is that the height if the bulb after installing these makes me have to buy a taller candle socket cover in order to cover the base of the bulb.

Many of the adapters available for this type of "conversion" have a insulating hard plastic ring around the top of the socket that may or may not interfere with mating hardware; a feature not typical on the bulbs that would normally fit the fixture. These don't have this feature and will fit nearly all applications.

I purchased a lamp from Europe via Etsy, and it had the medium-sized socket. Rather than buying from the limited selection of medium-sized LED bulbs I decided to get these inserts. Perfect fit, works with standard candelabra bulbs now.
